Last Friday we tested Ollie's Korean speaking results to unexpected hilarity. Today we test his Jolly Korean writing!
오늘 졸리 한국어 수업에서는 한컴타자연습으로 올리의 한국어 실력을 테스트해봅니다! 한국어 자판을 영어로 외워서 치는 올리는 과연 산성비 게임을 몇탄까지 깰 수 있을까요…?
사실 영어 버전도 있었는데 올리한테는 말안했… ㅎㅎ 여러분들도 어려서 한컴타자연습 많이 하셨나요? 저희는 해보면서 좀 어려운 문장이 많이 나와서 당황했는데, 뭔가 문화랑 역사적인 내용도 나오더라고요!

I may be wrong, but I think Ollie secretly likes being “tested”. His competitive streak and confidence just naturally comes out! update: yooo it’s 2021 and i live in america doing honors classes, so this is how the grading system works for me
A+ 95-100%
A 90-94%
B+ 85-89%
B 80-84%
C+ 75-79%
C 70-74%
D 66-69%
F 0-65%
for middle school it was 97-100 for an A+ and so forth. hope that helps!

This stuff was unfairly difficult. Even for someone who might write a lot of Korean and study it a lot, it's a whole different ballpark trying to get used to the Korean keyboard layout that quickly. Especially as it's all just copying words down as opposed to typing words you know and trying to say something.
Seeming you're using a mac, why not set the Korean input as "GongjinCheong Romaja"? Sure it's only ever useful on an Apple computer as Windows doesn't have IME input, but you can type by just typing in the romanised Korean and it turns it into Hangeul.

sorry if this is repeated... i’ve posted it several times, but when i check it is gone.
as a person who can speak, read, and write in korean and english fluently, i find romanization to be extremely difficult. it is completely different when you learn starting from korean characters and never romanization. my understanding is that josh and ollie have learned from korean characters to start and not romanization. (i might be wrong with how josh and ollie have learned korean.) romanization has so many possibilities as far as spelling and pronunciation combinations which can lead to higher chances of improper pronunciation of korean words etc. also i think they are trying to teach him how to read and write/type in korean. learning romanization doesn’t help you to be able to read the actual korean language which i think is kind of important especially as they go or use to go to korea often. the majority of signs, etc in korea aren’t written in korean and romanization only korean. in fact i cant personally ever recall seeing any sign in korea or even on korean tv with korean and romanization on it.

영어자막에 드립인지는 모르겠지만 ㅋㅋㅋ '말머리'는 horse head가 아니라 말의 첫마디라는 뜻입니당! '서두'의 순우리말인 것 같아요! 영어로는 preface, beginning 정도로 번역하면 되지 않을까 싶네요!
