And the last scene where he says that something is different about you is actually an adlib by the actor and was never meant to be in the script. Bong Hwan was confused throughout the series about.. you know.. his sexuality. Both the souls of So young and Bong Hwan were in the queen's body at the same time so it makes better sense that the love for Cheoljeong was from So Young. Since She also cried a lot in episode 19 for Byeong In, now it wouldn't make sense if those emotions were from Bong Hwan would they? A lot of people keep complaining that Bong Hwan deserved better but do you really think that he'd want to live in the Joseon era forever, leaving his mother, career and life of 33 years in the modern world. Moreover, the body was So young's so it had to be returned to her. I personally believe that the ending was the best it could've been. Bong Hwan simply acted as a bridge, bringing the king and queen together

The first ep. of bamboo secret ep. just showed us that even from the very beginning it's always been the King and Queen. Their first encounter was from the well. But, then, they meet again. This time, this moment, they knew they fell for each other. The thing is, the king denied his love for she came from the clan of his enemy. The reason why he neglect his love for her. Bong Hwan came to the rescue and became the bridge in between. He helped the king open his eyes for her and see her in different light. The moment he tried to understand her, that's when he acknowledged his love for her and let his love come out. Bong Hwan also helped So Yong to show her true self. If you remember, she had a stitched letter "Depart from your False Self". That explains that she was always been hiding herself. She's not actually the very gentle and feminine type. She actually has the same chatacteristics as Bong Hwan (in last ep, So Yong also lifted up her skirt, talked bad words, and mischievously seeks the king everytime). Bong Hwan helped the king and queen in so many ways in return of the favor So Yong did for helping him live as well. This story is a masterpiece, TvN!
I ship them very much. I really hope they'll be a real couple in real life. As I see that JungHyun feels so happy when he's with HyeSun, and they care about each other so much. There are chemistries on and off camera. I love seeing them together both in drama and real life. Unlike when he was with YeaJi, as she's so manipulative and she controls him so much when they were dating. #nohateintended And I feel so sorry for him back then, SeoHyun got to taste of his bitterness when they were playing in "TIME". Well, I really hope JungHyun and HyeSun will find their happiness in each other. All the best!

True that the actor is cute when he smiles. Saw him in welcome to waikiki and didn't realise its him. He looked average in that too but very cute when he smilled.
Mostly it seems ridiculous when a character will not believe their own feelings, but the resistance from a brodude like Bong who ends up learning to love unconditionally - unconditioned by e.g. gender ... the resistance is more credible and the zone where it melts away is gripping. So gripping.

Yes, but he’s a straight man trapped in a straight woman’s body with the king, also a straight man, wanting her(him). After she/he tried to drown in the lake again, some of So-Young’s memories started to return along with feelings for the king. So it’s still him in her body but there are feelings there now too and it’s confusing him/her. It’s complicated. 😅

Basically, it tells interesting back stories of all the characters of the drama. Like how the king and queen meet before their wedding once.Both of them fall for each other at first sight.On seeing her again ,the king is happy but as soon as he knows that she is from Kim clan,he immediately becomes cold towards her.Basically,because of it's not so satisfying end for its many viewers,the makers has tried to pacify them. Also in this 2 hour series,it tells about interesting backdrop of all the characters.
