LOONA were so right for this. Who cares if *cough* don't understand the art in Butterfly, who cares if the audience finds it boring. The theme is "For fans", for us. For this annoying but hard working fandom. For the lying but hilarious Orbits. LOONA really sacrificed the Round 3 part 2 win bc we are much more important than a competition in their eyes.

That one fan that’s said sorry for not doing enough and the girls getting mad at him still makes me teary. Remember that the girls are happy that we’re trying our best, but let’s win this for them!!

it’s always fun streaming for loona because the comments are filled with people interacting with each other, thank you to everyone who helped us make it to 1.8 and thank you to all the orbits who didn’t give up when 100k were deleted when there was half an hour left for tracking :)

Remember (G)I-DLE being voted the worst performance of them all when they did Fire but they had the most number of views? It happened with this again. This is too beautiful for people not to watch, honestly. And Butterfly is a very meaningful song. It might just be a love song to others, but it is more than that. if you're thinking of giving up, just remember:
- chuu, lippie, choerry cried bc of how overwhelmed they were with emotions
- hyeju pulled her hamstring while practicing for this stage
- the girls' nails got ripped off bc they practiced so hard
- their knees are BRUISED from all the q2 perfs

truly sad that the camerawork really didn’t give this performance justice. such a heavenly and majestic performance, as expected of loona!!

They did something that has never been done in the kpop industry, they said ot12 or nothing, and I'm so thankful that I got them staned for this show. I love them so much

nah but i’m still mad at them being voted below for “lack of energy” when 1) theres ENERGY IN HERE!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING LOOK AT THEM GO!!!! 2) but also the thought that went into this performance is obviously not understood by the other teams bc they just don’t know loona ;-/// keeping on beat with the original arrangement in the beginning drop with new choreo and then swapping it so the arrangement is different and the choreo is the same in the second chorus is so smart!!! also all the little lore detailing in the choreo that the other groups just don’t understand was obviously lost on them. Sad that loona was so on brand with the fan theme of this round and got knocked down for it

no one in that show understand how versatile loona is as a group and decided to box them in this "powerful" category that to them is simply girl crush while ignoring the power a song like butterfly holds with its elegant style and empowering message

Every orbit that has gone through that era of butterfly being performed at every random festival, doesn’t it feel good to see the girls perform it in new outfits and new settings?

This performance was absolutely beautiful and breath taking,i read some threads on twitter about this song,the perfomance details and the meaning it has to orbits and it made me tear up. It must`ve been hard for you as orbits,but better times will come. As kep1 sadly doesn`t have any chance at winning I`m rooting for Loona on thursday. Orbits you can do it okay! 맘속 1등은 브레이브걸스지만 솔직히는 이게 1등,, 여돌은 화려한 컨셉이 많았고 아련컨셉은 없었던것 같은데 여돌이 이런 퍼포먼스를 보여줄수있다니,, 무대연출도 과하지 않고 멤버들이 퍼포를 진짜 잘하는 듯

오랜만에 다시 보러왔어.
지금의 이달소를 보니까, 퀸덤에서보여줬던 이 무대가 너무 생각나더라.
저 날 무대 직관했을때까지만 해도,

i will never understand why some people and even the other groups think this was not powerful. like fr. the song is like this elegant type vibe, but then their moves ARE powerful, like i'm just shaking my head. the camera work really takes away from how insane the dance is

loona can’t be boxed into a “powerful” group that does “boy group music” they tread the line between elegance and femininity while also bringing strong, fierce intensity, shattering every barrier and expectation in kpop. this is the message of Butterfly represented perfectly. I hate how people expected more. They put a lot of pressure on the girls because they’re known for their great performances, but I don’t get why they didn’t like this one, I absolutely loved this one out of all of them🧍🏻‍♀️

이달의소녀는 탐이나때도 느꼈지만 춤출때 단순히 파워만 있는게 아니라 춤선이나 감정 표현이 너무 좋음 별다른 무대장치 없이 그냥 춤만 추는데도 예술적으로 보이고 압도됨...

to those that found this performance "underwhelming": adding belts or dance breaks would have destroyed the concept. Not every performance needs a dance break to be good.
to me this was a nice break from all the overwhelming performances that tried to add "wow factors" just for the sake of it. Loona really tried to focus on their story and how to get it across best. For more context look at all the meaning they put every single element of the composition of the song and stage

I've been a casual fan of Loona, ARTMS, Loossemble, and Chuu for a while now, but I've NEVER seen this video before. I'm so glad I stumbled across it because it's one of the coolest performances I've ever seen

I’m just sad the other groups weren’t able to appreciate just a soft and delicate performance. It’s so powerful and strong but in another way, it’s not girl crush, it’s a high note every ten seconds, it’s not smashing a camera with a baseball bat but it’s powerful through its message, visual, meaning and talent required to perform a song like that. That one group who said this was nothing special because they didn't change too much from the original was clearly just making up excuses because if you really watched the original, there was A LOT that they changed. don't even get me started with the choreography

I'm no longer trying to concern myself with the results and just stream this as well as I can with a happy and light heart. This way I'll know what this stage means to me and to Loona and I can accept whatever happens.

as jinsoul said butterfly has no highnote but the amount of falsettos is crazy. not every performance needs a highnote to be considered powerful! this performance is pure ART. butterfly supremacy!

for everyone that was disappointed, i just want to say that when i left to do my hw at 8pm we were at *1,853,000* (road to 1.9)
when I came back @ 10pm we were at *1.7.* and when tracking ended we were at *1.8* again. im so proud of everyone here for being able to help recover the numbers!! yall did amazing

can't believe some participants chose this as the worst stage bc "it lacked energy". the concept, the outfits, the storytelling... this was beautiful from start to finish. i'm also glad jinsoul defended the song 'cause you don't need high notes every 5 seconds to make good music. at the end, this was a stage for the fans and orbits LOVED it.

loona is gonna have a comeback this june and it would fitting if they win queendom and have the premium comeback show prize! we need to keep the numbers going up orbits!

im not trying to sound cocky or cringey or hate on other groups/fandoms, but butterfly literally has a whole different meaning. especially being an orbit (i was since 2017!), it’s such a beautiful piece. i try to only listen to it when i’m in a bad mood, because it just has that power over me and it’s such a special song. unlike the majority of the other songs on queendom, butterfly is more than just the sound. like WJSN’s exy pointed out, it sounded different. but imo not in a negative way. in fact, it was opposite, because they included a lot more diverse elements into their music AND performance. anyone who understands loona’s performances would look not only at the music, but beyond the music too and focus on the deeper meaning itself, and that is why orbits love this performance a lot. at least, the ones who care a lot, which includes me and a majority of orbits. no hate to anyone. ❤️❤️

This performance really cements how versatile LOONA is. Without changing the song too much and without directly addressing their journey with orbits they were able to create this beautiful metaphorical performance.
