I have two daughters who are older now (married and busy with life) I sure do miss those moments that you have so perfectly filmed. You are truly blessed. I wish you many more years of moments like these.

To see a loving, caring father with his beautiful "outdoors" daughter is just a BEAUTIFUL sight to behold.

It's the best being in the woods with our kids. It just feels right. Seeing my son whittle a stick on a stump waiting for breakfast as the sun peeks over the mountain... there's just nothing better. Damn this modern world.

They say the apple don’t fall far from the tree. In Emily’s case that’s absolutely 100% true. I love how you two bond through the outdoors, nature and Cali of course! What a blissful wonderful father-daughter camping trip. Thnx for letting us be a small part of it! 🙏🏻

My dad was a huge outdoorsman. It was him who instilled in me my love of nature and everything the outdoors has to offer. We would fly with our canoes into the back lakes of Canada to fish. He had me whitewater rafting down the Colorado River by the time I was 10. He was a pilot and as soon as I was big enough to be strapped into a seat he had me doing barrel roles in our old bi-wing Stearman biplane.

I just have to say what a wonderful dad you are to teach your daughter the importance of being self sufficient especially in the times to come. 🙏

That was a fantastic “episode” father and daughter bonding. She will never forget this time you two spend together. I know she will pass this same experience down to her children.

I lost my dad to cancer when he was just 62. I’m 66 now and still camp with a tent and canoe. I will cherish all those adventures with my dad forever.

While I was growing up we spent our summers at our lake house. Had two pair of Loon’s on the lake. Love that every year they came back to hatch their babies. So wonderful to watch them care for their young.

This warms my heart! I am blessed to still have my dad. He is 83 and works three days a week. We love doing projects together, laughing together, and enjoying a Bourbon together! At the 32ish minute into the video i was honestly envious of you (in a very respectful way). The bond you have with your girls is just.. well.. a true blessing. Your daughter is such a remarkable young lady. The time you have got to spend with your daughter and Cali is just irreplaceable and this is truly what makes you a rich man. This video brings back memories of my dad and I doing the very same thing. In a week, he will be gone a year. We fished, hiked, hunted, foraged, made tea and coffee, and had lots to eat on the fire. His example taught me to spend much time with my own kids, and still do. And they in return take time off their lives to want to spend time with me. Good thing you shooed Cali from that Mink. Nasty critter. I'll be interested in coming episodes on how the Ecoflow system is doing. I am quite interested in this system after seeing this video. Thanks, Shawn. This was an excellent video.

This was absolutely beautiful!!! I only wish my father had done this with me. Emily is just like her dad. So wonderful to make these forever memories. Cali so cute, so protective of Emily, and played hide and go seek, fetch, and shoe thief! The meals looked amazing. Listening to the wind, nature and waves while enjoying a book with nature tea! I grew up camping with my Grandpa. That time taught me so much and made me who I am. If the power goes out I can cook over a fire with no problem. In fact I prefer it! Lol Food is always better over a fire in the woods! Food becomes a central thing while camping. But food has always traditionally been a celebration of life. What better time to celebrate than with your daughter in the woods!!! Beautiful! I miss camping!

My grandpa died in 1958 and my mom passed in 2017. I wish I had a video of them interacting when she was a young girl. These videos will be a family treasure for from now on.
