ofcourse they do
The graphics are good, but the storytelling is so slow paced.
"History is written by victors"
Would be more invaluable if they told the truth. The CIA knew where he was because they put him there and they knew a Pakistani journalist was going to expose it. So they moved him to another safe location and pretended they had killed him. No body? No problem.
I was a little kid so I never quite grasped just how monumental it was finding this guy. I thought he lived in some underground hideout in the middle of nowhere, but he really was living in a luxurious home? And the Ibrahim guy unknowingly led the forces straight there, what a wild goose chase.
I was in 5th grade when I heard the news. The sense of victory was immense, and seeing the President announce it was wonderful.

both of my parents learned to speak, read, and write Arabic in defense language school. my dad was picked up by a contracting company working with the government and spent half my childhood overseas.
He’s talked about being able to speak with Sheikh Mohammed while he was in custody in 2003. he didn’t try to hide anything he had done, he was eager to talk about the lengths Al-Queda had taken to carry out the attacks. the men were fully funded and lived in the US for several months, even took flying lessons in Arizona, Florida, and Minnesota.
People credit bin Laden with the attacks, but it was Sheikh Mohammed that orchestrated the whole thing. I’m glad that distinction was made in this video
edit: Sheikh Mohammed had admitted that he was angry the towers had imploded rather than toppled over. he had given specific instructions to hit the top of the towers anticipating that they would fall sideways.
Osama is still considered a hero in the Islamic world because they think he was involved in the 9/11 attacks. Pakistan even chose to hide him and protect him, while pretending to the world that they are against terrorism.

Now that your an adult. You should know the reality. Osama fought American proxy in Afghanistan. He was fed and dressed by the Us, so this mission was about hunting on of their own. What surprises me the most, is how the US continues to support Pakistan militarily, and financially, after Pakistan has stabbed us in the back so many times.
When the US lost in Afganistan, Pakistan celebrated, it's prime minister, and military leaders openly said that "pakistan won against the US using US' money." Yet, we're still helping them.

A quick comment about America’s interrogation techniques. When Abu Zubaydah was captured, it was the FBI’s Arabic speaking Ali Soufan who first questioned him. Using respect and traditional questioning skills, Soufan learnt key information from Zubaydah which ended up being consequential in the long investigation into finding OBL. The CIA rendered Zubaydah only days into Soufan’s questioning. Once rendered and tortured, it was observed that he gave no further useful information to interrogators. Hence - torturing was counterproductive on every level.
not every level. if they had gotten to him first, they probably would have gotten the same info he gave to ali soufan
Absolutely! This has always been the case. Torture only results in people telling you what you want to hear so the torture can stop. I honestly can’t believe we’re still using such barbaric techniques.
CIA concluded, before 9/11, that torture did not work.
Found the weak sensitive liberal
Girly jim
Well they tried to pretend they were the Saudis so Abu Zubaydah reveal information which he did
It is a well made Documentary what i liked about it is this also tells the major events that were happening in those years aside from the CIA investigation. I really appreciate this type of clean clear cut Documentary.
I still remember it being a school night and staying up late to see what the President was going to announce and being totally surprised when he announced they killed him. I was too young to understand 9/11 but I feel the same about the night I found out he died as people do about the day of the attacks. I remember everything about it.
