So proud of this kid coming from San Bernardino he was a small skinny kid walking into my uncles shop at loved ones and I was their aau coach for basketball and you always saw the work ethic he’s been a winner on every level he’s gonna show the world why he’s special trust me his awareness his will to win and his instincts are next level plus lsu as far as a school has notoriously bread more nfl ready qbs then usc Mark my words Jayden is gonna be a star his parents and the city are excited for what’s to come.
Beautiful, effortless delivery. Throws over the middle had some zing on them. This kid’s a stud!! 🤩
He has such good accuracy and he looks so effortless and smooth. His form is so fluid. I love it.
I was there for this.. ball was FLYING
Can you elaborate? Would love to hear what you saw in person. Both sides of the coin, what impressed and what you think he could have done better at (I'm sure if you were there you have a certain level of expectation).
He showed a big time NFL arm in this workout. He threw the ball just as far as Drake Maye.
@@fantasypolice there were a few missed deep throws, but he seemed to have handled the whole portion well and led his guys through the throwing script.
When he missed some throws it looked like he kept the “next play” mindset and compartmentalized. It was a smooth day for him.
@@dokedoker3340not really he’s Lamar Jackson’s size. Actually 5pounds heavier and almost 2 inches taller. He will,be fine.
@@AdamVo that's great insight not readily apparent through highlights. Thank you! Next play mentality, the ability to stay locked in emotionally is such an important aspect of high performance. It reflects maturity and provides a platform of consistency to grow and develop.
I’m now on watch number 10 of said pro day
I got issues man
he's gonna be exceptionally good in the nfl! go Pat's
Wow, Jayden Daniels has such a smooth throwing motion. It was like watching a guy fly-casting for trout on a little stream. He was putting the ball exactly where he wanted, no problem. The long throws - eh, Brady used to throw those short on purpose, to draw interference fouls. Takes a lot of reps to get a feel. Clearly he's got the arm.
Along with his great athleticism, Daniels is a top passer. What a prospect.
well said
I seen quite a few throws off target 💯
@daddybearcom his footwork isn't great either.
@@dblshotz75 agreed
@@dblshotz75 agreed
I thought he would be a bit more accurate. Especially on the deep balls. There were probably eight passes that were off bad, and on a lot of the crossing routes and underneath routes, he didn't lead the receivers enough.
Jayden has a much bigger arm than he’s given credit for. That seems to be the case every year - where a guy will be knocked for arm strength and another talked about for his cannon and they throw the same distance. Jayden Daniels threw just as far as Drake Maye for their pro days. Jayden should definitely go number 2 overall.
incorrect
Arm strength comparisons are not just about depth, they are about velocity. Even Mac Jones can throw a 50-60 yard pass, it just takes 1-2 seconds longer than it should to get there. Giving an NFL DB two extra seconds to react isn't going to work out well unless you have a completely busted coverage.
Drake maye will be another Mac Jones softie bust. I can see his game and he is not top 5. He has the toughness for golf
Future Star
I like this guy
Dam, he throws heaters, lool.
@@a1_genz true
Quick release, fluid, mobile, really good accuracy on short and intermediate routes. Arm looked stronger than expected. Even overthrew a couple of deep routes. I can see NE taking him at 3 if Caleb and Drake are already gone. I don't buy into the JJ McCarthy hype.
He’s legit. I agree.
Dude looked fantastic!
He didn’t
Lmao. Some of his throws were off and behind the receiver that they have to adjust to the throw.
???
Not really bro

my patriots will be drafting him and we will take jefferson away from vikings lol
this guy is it.

If y’all draft him he might do a rg3

In a good way lol lemme make that clear

This guy is gonna be good
my breakdown of the workout was okay, it was interesting i've had the most notes from his so far. his motion is butter, it's green light, and he has the most automatic trigger we've seen in years, he liable to get the ball off in tight areas smooth. it's a lil bradyish. that's the good part. he does specific things really well, effective with deep balls, highly potent, dare i say prolific throwing back shoulder, literally never overstrides. it's been most interesting to see him alternate his stagger foot. you see it on film, you see it in game, it was surprised to see it in a workout its a rare tendency you don't see with other QB's. it speaks to #1. his versatility in different systems. his coordinators will be interchangeable. #2. on the negative side, if he starts getting out of Wack it spotlights, his inconsistency with his lower body. but its very like tiny detail. the most interesting thing I SAW. He alternated his break foot. #1. the positive of that is, he showed a lot of ease and comfort off platform. it's almost like his stays on balance even when he's off platform, that's how balanced he is on his feet. #2. the negative is no one really wants you driving off ur back foot and his arm strength is already not most ideal but yeah. it stands out. he has an inconsistent break foot, that's a big issue. all that being said, for the most part, he's just really good with the footwork. overall, it's all very cute, its very fancy. he does all the flashy stuff well. i wish he was more consistent doing the easy stuff. his anticipation is off, you wish his ball placement was better, the ball finished behind the receiver a few times and if i'm a defender and they run crossing stuff, short to mid, i'm jumping it. Those are my big takeaways.
Break foot analogy 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
caleb got a better tirgger his release is fluid to another level
If you had to predict , do you think he will be successful in the NFL?
Anticipation and timing definitely looked off. It's a pro day, which doesn't mean much, but that shouldn't be happening in this controlled environment. More concerning to me than a few missed or off target throws.
@@geo.j27no he doesn’t Caleb is not faster on the trigger is much slower when. It comes to the gather to release and is used to losing this kid has won and had success on every level high school my brother played with him in San Bernardino then to go to college at asu bet on yourself and say I’m better then this transfer and become thee heisman trophy winner. he’s elite trust me usc quarterbacks are notorious for failing in the nfl.
Washington don't be dumb take Jayden Daniels
That would be dumb
@@k1ng_chamberlain very
The way he's looking, I'm not sure he'll still be available then. Lol.
@@D.Antony he’s the 5th best QB for me
@@k1ng_chamberlain I hear you. Disagree but I hear. They just don't give Heismans to fifth best QBs. He may not be #1 but I think it's a reach to say he's fifth.
Dem boys goin Str8 to the NFL !! Geaux Tigers 🔥🐯💯💯

RAAAAAIIIDERRRRSS🏴☠️🏴☠️
Yall so cute
You wish 😂
Viiiikingsss! 🤣🤣🤣
We’re gonna be relentless trying to trade up for him🏴☠️
If Jayden had his choice, it would be Las Vegas. He's already said it. Both he and AP have history, chemistry, compatibility. I think the Raiders try and make a move. Not saying it will work but they'll definitely try, nonetheless.
HTTC WE UP!!!! Go get him!!
The ball just zips out of his hands!!
Yikes, that deep pass section was pretty rough. No cap. Overthrows, underthrows, and outright misses.
These pro days honestly so many of the receiver routes slow down or stop to present themselves as targets and on deep balls you can just sit and hold the ball and then time it doesn’t necessarily mean you really throw a great deep ball. That said, no criticism meant for Jayden he’s a beast and I think both he and CW are going to be successful in the NFL. I’d be super excited if I was a Commanders fan assuming they’ll be drafting Jayden as the second best rated QB in this draft. If I didn’t say it already I watched Jayden all season he loves football and is a clutch competitor with a great personality to boot. If he doesn’t have success in the NFL I’ll be shocked.
Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels… New England sitting pretty either way.
Yes we are
Daniels is a far superior talent
Both teams have more holes than swiss cheese. We'll see which QB has more success but Brock Purdy wouldn't be the QB that is without the supporting cast he has on the 9ers.
@@viker63 The patriots literally only have two holes: WR and LT. Think before you comment. And brock purdy isnt a very good qb he's just carried by his supporting cast. CJ Stroud and joe burrow were drafted to bad teams and look how they turned out. Bad teams can add talent and use a top 3 pick on a qb at the same time lmao
The knock on his weight for me is not an issue. He can put on another Ten pounds with good nutrition and weight training. The question I have is processing Speed and reading defenses. He has World Class Receivers, the evaluators have a tough Job.
4:15 I felt this is when JD came alive. He's a streaky player. But when he's on, HE'S ON.
That ball just jumps out of his arm. Pretty accurate too. I can't say that Caleb looked better, in all honesty.
Love this time of year because it brings the internet GMs out of the woodworks. Can’t wait to see JD5 prove these people wrong.
My comp for JD is lamar Jackson. I wonder what Daniel Jeremiah’s comp for him would be, like maybe Kyler Murray with his mobility and Deshaun Watson with his improvement with his arm when Watson came out way before the legal stuff
@@jon5853he’s nothing compared to Lamar except the scrambling
commanders this is our guy
Bro no. Not at all. I’m a commanders fan and he isn’t that good. Bro missed like 5 passes on a scripted workout with no defense
@@k1ng_chamberlaindude they haven’t played football in like 4 months should u expect rust lol plus he better than u
they've been practicing this routine for 4 months lol that's why he didn't do the combine. and i would hope he's better than me; he's going to have a good career for a good 5 years or so@@lavxbesdolp164
This guy is ridiculously talented
Hope he ends up in Minnesota some how. Him around all those weapons would be insane
Come to Minnesota 💜
4:00 nice throw. Also great sell by Nabers. That guy is NFL ready.
Has a similar build and game like RG III. I pray whatever team drafts him has a plan in place, so he doesn’t get his body obliterated in his rookie season.
Unfortunately, we don't yet. Commanders probably 95% likely to take him based on the Mariota pick up and coaching hires. But I thought Howell got a raw deal last year with our terrible o line (and OC) so not sure how a new QB will help....but we'll see.
@@RedMage117 Thats absurd
Just about every qb in the league looks that good need to see more to be impressed
Shut up
People sleeping on Jayden when he's really him. He will put points on the board in the NFL
Notice everytime a Qb has a small frame they were long sleeves on pro day 😂
Great arm, good talent, only concern from last season was the punishing hits he endured from trying to use his feet to extend plays.

Really good workout overall. A couple of the short throws are a bit late, but that’s easy to correct. He’s throwing 60 yards here, which is an NFL arm. Really good, accurate intermediate throws to the middle, which is hugely important. I’m an Eagles fan and don’t want WAS to draft this guy at #2 but I think it’s gonna happen. He’s going to be a headache to play against twice per season.

The deep out is the arm strength test and he was solid. Decently fast delivery. He's going to the Commanders #2. Be the second coming of RG3 but without the draft capital loss and hopefully smarter protection. HTTC
I think he a better qb prospect than rg3 way more fluid passer
5:10 the highlight throw of the session - easily the one that people showed the most. I got it as his second best throw. It conveys control. He was in his groove.
Wasnt that good of a throw. He threw it inside which is not what’s supposed to happen
Jayden Daniels bout to have that rookie RGIII Type impact
Commanders are picking up Jayden Daniel’s to our team let’s go
Sweet football
Commanders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let’s gooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He does have a really quick release, and he must have a high ball speed. I wish people would stop using “velocity” as it’s a vector unless they also mean direction. (Speed is a scalar and velocity is a vector. I don’t make the rules.). But in this case it does look like his direction is good too as he’s pretty accurate. This is the first time I’ve seen him throw, nearly April of 2024. I actually like this guy’s throwing ability I think more than the pick who will supposedly go One.
good footwork, solid inside of 20. little disappointed on the deep throws tot he side line and verticals.
He needs to stay in purple!
yeah that'd be crazy if he could join JJ. LSU pride.
I am a tiger fan so I agree
Hope he keeps #5 wherever he goes
I saw a decent amount of bad balls. I feel like some people in here didn’t even watch the tape lol.
I think it was mostly the first half, yes. Then things got much better
Most of it is footwork and timing. There's a LOT to work on.
shut up
Only 4 bad balls bro lol once he warmed up it was over
It’s clear that if you actually watch tape, meaning All 22, not just highlights, you would know more than what you think you do. Daniels is by no means a perfect product, but his misses were always ahead of the receiver and only off by a very small margin. It’s very rare to *ever* have a perfect prospect, but they are called prospects for a reason; they are typically a work in progress. His near misses can be corrected with tutelage (mainly in footwork), but he shows elite traits in arm strength, release time and athleticism. I would be interested to know what you choose to cite as your considered “bad balls”?
By far the best pro day showing for a qb, the ball comes out so effortlessly.. but then again it’s hard to evaluate when no one’s in your face tryna take you down
sounds like a scout from moneyball LOL "ball pops off the bat"
That was very dull and Boring I wanted the raiders to Draft him but not at all now! I would showed more zip an athleticism not just go through the motions
@@herkystatebullies5188 his athleticism is already on tape… no need to risk injury
IMO- Drake Mayes Pro day was better. Deep ball led better and hit more often. Had better leads on receivers and did not throw the ball behind them as often. Did not miss as many passes. IMO his throwing form is better. I think Maye should go second in all reality. But I want him to go third to my team the PATS
Beat QB coming out this draft
Ball got some zip on it
JD looks good.
Looks like he threw it 61 yards at 6:05. Decent arm strength. Shows good touch on 40 to 50 yard passes.
Perfect fit for Washington!
Nope lol
Those overthrows are for jahon and terry if yall haven't noticed, showing he leaves room for leverage
His timing is awful. Not a Zone read QB by any stretch. It's not the receiver's job getting the ball out on time to hit the connection and ball placement
I would like to see him in New England fr.
1:24 beautiful throw
He got Major velocity on all his throws bih look nice na
4:34 JD had the best weapons in college - it's not even close. Nabers and Thomas are real deal.
He will be the CJ Stroud of this year
Am I the only one not impressed? Throws with zip but couldn't hit a deep ball and looked like a panic throws when the guys in his face 😂
Throws with zip? Dude is seriously lacking velocity
His crossing routes were on point, but he did miss a few deep balls. Looks a little thin too. He also had some of the best receivers to throw to in college. I hope he does well though. Could be Jalen Hurts-like.
He did hit the deep balls towards the last 2 minutes of the video
Its just a workout. But yeah, I was expecting more accuracy especially on the deep balls. He looked like he was throwing ducks out there compared to J.J. McCarthy at his pro day, which is a little worrying.
@@chrisolson84those were catchable balls they just need to reach out, plus jaydens deep game is great on film
1:23 is rad, McCown Jawline in the house for the Vikes and that arm strength looks JUST FINE if he falls.
You think he has a heavy enough jacket for those cold Minnesota winters?
Great movement, looks really loose and has a strong arm!
He’s got a rocket of an arm.
NO ! Those arms ARE on Mahomes . Allen & Herbert ! These guys can throw 40 to 5o yards , just with there wrist & do NOT need to wind up to do so . What is so SAD , is Herbert might throw the BEST deep ball in the NFL , now ? He , just doesn't have weapons on the field to help him do so in his NFL career ? If Jim doesn't F#CK this up? In this years draft , he should get a GREAT WR to throw passes too .
@@robertd.7060Caleb clearly has the strongest arm. He flicks 60 yard throws.
He has bad blood with the GM and coach of the commanders so good luck I think you guys will go with maye because of that
Woah did you see those guys playing catch
I see he put the long sleeve on.
5:46 he can play. This is today's game. Nice throw across field
#RaiseHail
He can fling it I didn't pay attention to LSU much last year kinda mad cause I missed some really good football with him and both WR'S Nabers and Thomas.......
How aggressive CAN Antonio Pierce be ?!!! Lets go get this kid !! 🏴☠️💪🏽🤞🏽
When you are missing guys deep on 50+ yard throws, I don't see how anyone can question his arm strength. After a couple overthrows he dialed it back which caused a couple throws where the receiver had to slow down to catch it. Overall he's an impressive player, and this didn't even showcase his legs.
2:12 he's got talent - he really does
