I mean if it's something very specific like a plane crash, you can choose to not get in a plane until fate eventually finds a way to get you in that plane. And depending on what it is, you can basically live care free knowing nothing can kill you aside that plane.

Date 100%. The knowledge of date provides so much more useful information to you. In fact, knowing the cause of death does nothing for you, because no matter how careful you are, it's still going to occur anyway. Meanwhile Date gives you peace of mind, closure, and a way to abuse the finite days you are given by being able to carefully plan when it's all going to be over. There is a right answer here and it's date.

Knowing the cause might leave you on edge every day worried about living, while date of death will clearly lay it out and you won't have area for confusion, only fear, though you won't be able to isolate any particular "dangerous" activity cause literally even water or salmonella can knock you off

In terms of pure survival, I feel like with cause you can easily prevent it. A simple heart attack can be prevented with lifestyle changes if you know that it's coming vs know a date you'll die most people will assume they'll be murdered so they'll stay in the house where they can be seen if they have a stroke or heart attack

John and Dylan right, the time is the best option. You can plan and utilize it to the most. If its the cause you will waste COUNTLESS hrs/days/months/years worrying about finding yourself in the situation where the cause could come true, even if its decades from now.
Like for real it also depends on how much about the cause do you know? Do you just get the barebones oh you die in a car accident, or do you get like all vehicles involved the year, make, model, paint color of the vehicles and the situation surrounding it? Because if it's option a then date is always better because that's way more concrete information to work with. If it's full context with option b then idk.

The fact that I have never watched an episode of anime or read any manga, but truly enjoyed RDC talk so passionately about it shows what great entertainers they are. Seeing how passionate they are makes me intrigued.
bro then you missing out than man. If you're interested you should start with Attack on Titan it's only 4 seasons and easy to get into with a really intriguing story, biggest plot twists and depthful mc. If you have your reasons why you dont want to watch anime either i respect it, another recommendation is Hunter x Hunter as well if you're up to it.

About the escaping 10 Jonin question: Are these just the average Jonin, or are there known Jonin like Kakashi, Asuma, Guy potentially in the mix? Because I think ya'll are forgetting just how sorry the vast majority of ninja are in Naruto. Remember that Mizuki was a Chunin, Ebisu is a Jonin, and I believe ya'll made a skit about how ridiculously sorry ANBU members are. Named characters generally have WAAAAAAY better feats and sometimes physical strength isn't the only measurement in whether or not you're promoted. (remember that Neji, Naruto, Sasuke, Shino and Rock Lee weren't made into Chunin).
I'm going to assume it's the former and if we're talking late Shippuden, Choji is arguably one of, if not THE strongest ninja in the rookie 9 outside of Naruto and Sasuke. Once he got his confidence from murdering his zombie teacher, he can use Expansion Jutsu and the butterfly mode at the same time and fought with the Gedo statue and was washing Jonin. Choji wouldn't need to help you escape 10 Jonin because he would probably beat them.
Also, ya'll might be sleeping on Anko. If this is pre-Shippuden, she's EASILY the best pick considering she's already a Jonin, was too fast for any of the Genin to see during the Forest of Death intro (when she snuck up on Naruto), Orochimaru trained her and explicitly mentioned that Sasuke MIGHT have more talent than she did, and this is assuming she can't use her Curse Mark to dramatically boost her Chakra.

I feel like Kiba, Choji & Tenten are stronger than most Jonin considering what they did in the war. But if that isnβt true at least Kiba could smell the enemies and act accordingly.
I really couldnβt believe they was sleeping on Choji like that AFTER they said current Choji. That man was like 16 when he fought gedo mazo. And that Kakuzu point wasnβt fair since Kakuzu is WAY past jounin level. He is one of few characters who survived a fight with Hashirama, and literally folds tailed beasts for a living.
