This, Wendy is making singing look easy, like idk about singers, but me as a non-singer used to thought that RV's song is easy to sing. I mean i sing along to their song all the time, right? That thought doesn't last long, it was until I sing their song in the original key, then I remembered how RV's dance has always been so intense, hence how there's so little girl group covering RV's song, then i humbled myself.
At first, I had no idea where the hell I have the audacity of thinking that their song is easy, then I realized that 159 cm girl is the reason why. Look, she sang every single Red Velvet's songs on stage with dance sequence, with a goddamn smile on her face! Such a deceiver!

Wendy is like a game cheat code. If u have her in the group the producer unlocks access to such a wide range and skill set. Look at him calling back wendy to at least 4 sessions to add more layers and harmonies. If you like RV discography you like wendy's voice because she fills every nook and cranny of the songs.

이번 레코딩 비하인드는 레드벨벳이 보컬에 얼마나 진심이고 자신 있는지 알 수 있었음. 녹음할 때 멤버들끼리 영상통화하면서 맞춰가는 것도 인상 깊었고 화음을 하나하나 쌓아가는 것도 너무 인상 깊었음. 완벽을 위해 최선을 다하는 모습, 고민하고 또 고민하는 모습은 정말 프로 같았음. 또 녹음할 때 모두가 의견을 내면서 디렉터님과 조율해가는 모습도.. 그리고 이 영상을 보고 레드벨벳 노래에 웬디가 갈렸다는 말이 뭔 말인지 알 거 같음… 타팬이지만 레드벨벳 노래 너무 좋아하고 이런 자기 직업에 애정 있고 열정 있는 모습 대단하다고 생각함. 남은 활동도 다치지 말고 잘 마치길

처음 들었을때 Holy한 기분 사람들이 눈물난다도 그랬었는데, 웬디가 그 부분을 의도한거라는게 굉장하고, 진짜 처음부터 끝까지 전력투구해서 치열하게 녹음한 현장이라. 성당에서 무릎꿇고 기도하는 자세로 들어야 하는거 아닌가 싶을정도임. 굉장한 결과물은 그냥 주어지는게 아니라니까 수정녹음은 몇번이며, 고민하면서 소리내는 순간들이 몇번이야. 가슴에 손을 얹고 들을께요. 웬디 생일 장면도 들어있어서 더 좋다.

Even tho SM sucks with the promotion of their artist but in terms of production of the song, they give their idol a chance to be involved in the production. Just like in this video they discussed among the members first their keynotes that they were comfortable with. They know what they are doing. They have their own opinion on how to express the lyrics. So in terms of this, I give SM applause. Because seems like some other veteran group still struggling with the song that they were given by the company. Like most of the time, it doesn't suit their vocal tone or their capabilities as a singer. And that is bad for the idol's future.

What more do you expect? If SM is a bad like y'all claim, all artists will leave after their 7 years contract. They are the only agency who still keep their 1st gen idols like Kangta and Boa. No other agency has their 1st gen idols with them. Bigbang leave YG, 2pm, Wonder Girls, Miss A and Got7 leave JYP. Super Junior are still in SM, most SNSD members are still in SM. F(x) is the only group where all members leave SM. SM isn't bad as you'll made them look.

Producers heaven. Each singer can make her own layers with ease, and you have also a complete harmony of power and tones for the group vocals at your disposal. You don't have to touch anything. Now I understand why the vocal arrangements are always so deep and complex in Red Velvet songs. They do it because they can. It's common a producer asking a singer "do you think we can do...", and the answer from these five members is always "yes". They can do it all, and then you have Wendy's absolute prodigy and all becomes just unfair in the industry.

노래 들었을때 음역대가 높다고 생각하긴했는데 역시 레드벨벳이어서 이것도 잘하는구나.. 하고 넘겼는데.. 이렇게 한음 한음 신경써서 부르고 춤동작이랑 같이 하면서 포인트 맞춰가고 뮤비찍고나서도 다시 수정녹음하고.. 엄청 신경써서 노래를 완성해가는 모습 보니깐 이것만으로도 뭔가 감동인ㅠㅠㅠㅠ 진짜 최고야.. 무엇보다도 음을 낮춰서 좀 더 쉽게 부르는 방법을 택하지 않고 노래 전체적인 느낌 그대로를 살리기 위해서 원음으로 가는걸로 선택한건 진짜 최고의 선택인듯!!! 덕분에 이렇게 명곡 들을 수 있게 해줘서 고마워 진짜ㅠㅠㅠ!!

@@ongq6672 As an amateur, I think it's true that Wendy has a prominent voice. I used to think that Seulgi's voice was louder than the other members but since I listened to their songs more often and also some of their video recordings I just realized that Wendy's voice is unique, her voice can deceive my hearing, just like Giselle from Aespa. They both have the kind of voice that can sometimes sound similar to the other members, which is really cool in my opinion. 🤗

Yeah, I really feel like this is the case. Red Velvet members mentioned multiple times before how Wendy's vocal direction (when she records first) shows how the song would sound like. For a b-side from an older album, she recorded cutely, so the members said they followed that too.
