I looked awful at first too. But now I've been using make up for like 6 months or so and when I try to recreate insta or yt make up looks it actually looks pretty much the same. You just need to find which make up techniques work best on your face and practise. You don't need expensive make up, I use drug store all the time.
I've learned it's never how expensive the makeup is!!! I've tried a lot of poplar foundations and it look HORRIBLE! I thought I was doing something wrong. But then I tried drugstore and like half of them looked really good on my skin. Just amazes me!
I love how real she is like how she was just kinda being dorky in the store and how she keeps talking to her boyfriend behind the camera and just her general speaking manner, she just feels like a friend, I like it she's one of the only beauty vloggers who does that 😊

This makeup can be found on santee's website and kleancolor's site! They're actually American brands you find in black beauty supplies, shop miss a, and discount/99cent stores all over! Some of it is on amazon too

It's actually not a $1.50 store though. I don't know where she got that from cause I live in the same state and the vast majority of things sold at Daiso are more than $1.50.
Technically 100 yen is closer to 1$ than 1.50$, but I'm pretty sure they just up the prices in the US to cover international trade taxes or shipping o~o

I once had a golden lipstick from a German drugstore (Cause I'm from Germany) and it was sooooooooo great. It was really long lasting and a nice color, but after 3 weeks it was so dry, that I couldn't use it anymore, but the same brand has cream lipstticks who work better and don't get dry haha ^^ but I trink I preffer international brands more... my most favourite international brand that I ever bought stuff from is "Astor" ( I think this brnad is nly available here in Europe like Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Austira,... like middle and western europe...^^)

Recently I started planning to try on Daiso make up..so I watched this video again to backtrack your recommended product. Also I might try their eyeshadows.
I used to work at a Daiso, and was assigned the makeup section despite knowing next to nothing about makeup, so I've always been curious about these products! Especially glad to know the potion bottles and the fun colors that I've spent hours of my life sorting are actually good products. Also glad to see someone enjoying those mats. Despite the indescribable combination of feelings I get every time I see a Daiso product outside of Daiso, it's a really fun place to shop. Honestly I would take a date to a Daiso. Try the snacks, especially Chocorooms.
If you weren't on the West coast before moving to California, it makes sense that you'd never seen a Daiso before, because as far as I know, they're mostly only in California and the Seattle area. For future reference, the quickest and easiest way to check if you have two of the same product is to check the barcode number.
Also one time a customer spent like ten minutes with me on the phone trying to ask me if we had the eyebrow pencil you chose in a specific color, but her only description was that the package was "silvery" and that we "haven't had it for a really long time" like she expected me to keep track of every color of every single product that we DIDN'T have in stock....

I love Daiso’s foundation brush, charcoal mask, and sheet masks.
