Actually so weird hearing Shane talk about how horrible girl scout cookies are because i remember a time when he was OBSESSED with them…mandela effect 🤷🏽‍♀️

I was a Girl Scout myself, I’m 26 now, but the money from the GS cookies goes to the Girl Scout troop which allows them to do things so it’s like a fundraiser. We used it to buy supplies to do volunteering and projects for the community. But also if you sell so many cookies that money can go to getting a free trip to Girl Scout camp which is highly expensive but it’s fun. So those that can’t afford it will sell more and more to get to that Girl Scout camp experience

I was a Girl Scout and some of the money goes to each troop so that the troop leaders can do activities with them without the money coming out of their own pockets. Some of it goes to the community and it’s used for events and other things for the girls. And for some families who can’t afford much it’s sometimes the only times their kids get to go do fun things!

So, it's not just mushrooms making music, it's all plants. They're literally just taking the electrical impulses in living things and converting it to an audible form. The plants all sound different though, so it's very cool to see (hear) how they all differ from each other.

My daughter was a Girl Scout for many years. Every year they pick a cause to donate to and about 15% of their proceeds go toward it. Last year the girls chose human trafficking and endangered animals. The rest of the money goes back to the cookie bakers And the girls for camping and activities

The confidence that Chris has developed overtime is amazing. I absolutely love it!💜💜

My daughter was a Girl Scout from kindergarten to 12th grade. They learn how to run a business through selling cookies. And they use the money to go towards other adventures where they learn things to earn badges. One year my daughters troop sold enough to pay to go to Savannah Georgia for a week where Girl Scouts all began and they visited the grave of the woman who started it all. The scouts also do a TON of giving back to the community. So Girl Scouts are pretty important 😊

What this podcast taught me is that I’m 100% a psychopath bc on the psychopath test my brain immediately was like OH SMART! 😂

As a former girl scout I would like to tell you all my personal experience. I lived doing cookie sales. We would get costumes of the cookies, make up songs to sing, and dance. The proceeds from our sales were used towards an annual trip. It taught us how to plan and budget (better than school did). It was a great experience.
Side note. I swear that Samoas and Caramel Delights are different. They are made by different bakeries for girl scouts. "They are the same cookie." I don't think they are they taste different to me. If they are not I guess my taste in cookies have changed over the years.

I delete my emails if it's not important, and my husband saves his (literally has years' worth). I set up folders for everything that I may need or find important to keep my email account looking clean. I also delete texts too.

I was a Girl Scout for 12 years. The money from cookie sales goes back into the girls. It goes towards experiences for the girls as they earn badges along the way. One year my cookie sales sent me to a Horse lovers camp, for a week in the summer where I learned how to care for and ride horses. Through girl scouts I learned a lot of things that I never would have, and got to experience things I wouldn't have been able to do if I wasn't a girl scout. Like going to Canada and participating in Peace Arch there 2 times. Going to a professional basketball game after doing a big walk to contribute to the community, and my specific Troop did give back projects. Such as serving tea and lunch to an organization raising money for the senior center in our area. The money basically goes towards the girls learning important things for life, and getting to do and see things a lot of these girls would never have been able to do on their own.

I first found Shanes channel right after my mom passed away in 2014. I've been watching ever since. I remember when I was in some of my deepest depression i would just binge watch all your content. Shane, Your videos really helped me get through some of the darkest moments of my life. and even though I've never met you and I never will, I actually refer to you as my friend. My husband isn't your biggest fan, and any time he rolls his eyes I just yell at him don't you talk about my friend! And he goes HE DOESNT know you exist!
