I have a bachelor’s degree in biology, and in undergrad I took ornithology. Birds ARE dinosaurs. They SURVIVED the extinction! Only 75% of dinosaurs went extinct during the meteor crash. That 25% that survived include birds, turtles, tortoises, crocodiles, alligators, etc. So yes, Shane, that chicken is, quite literally, a dinosaur! I love when Chris always validates what Ryland is saying when everyone is laughing at him. I know it’s all in love but sometimes I just relate to Ryland trying to say something and it maybe isn’t taken as serious as he intended. Rylands always so good about it too though. He just laughs along. I know there’s lots of love and respect in this friend group but I do notice Chris speaking up for Ryland and that’s so nice of him 😊

It's interesting to hear how Shane triggers lucid dreams. It's always been different for me. For me, I will realize that the person I am dreaming about wouldn't be in that type of situation, and then I can manipulate my dreams. I don't have someone ask me if I'm dreaming, I ask myself everytime.

I think as far as guests go. Don’t stress yourself out trying to find guests for each episode. This is a podcast for you and your three closest people. I think every now and then if someone falls into place with coming on the show, fine, cool, great. But let it just happen. Don’t put anymore added stress on yourself and just enjoy the four of you!

If you guys could figure out a way to make it work logistically I feel like Mother's Day special pod ep with Mama Teresa, Mama Vicki, and Chris's mom if she feels comfortable would be really fun!!!

As a former Wendy’s employee the chili “theory” is very true. All the patties that are cooked and not used fast enough for a burger are put into a warmer and then is copped up and refrigerated for the chili the next day.

this is why it’s so important to only talk positively about your body in front of your babies. we have to be the guide for our babies and how they view themselves. so always say positive things about yourself when you’re looking in the mirror at yourself when you kids are watching. Learning what it’s like to care about living is so confusing! You have to unlearn all these old habits when you didn’t care and it’s really emotional. You’re doing a great job! Thanks for sharing because I’m in such a similar boat. Sending you some peace of mind and support💛

Shane, you are a beautiful soul. Ypu all are amazing in your own respects. You are modest and humble, but also have self respect and know what you deserve without being condescending. I’m so glad you freed yourself from the stress of the transition of what you’re going through, because while I’ve noticed a heightened sense of anxiety within you, I’ve also noticed so much courage and with that comes inspiration. I suffer deeply with cptsd and 3 other anxieties and I struggle on a daily basis between the tug of war of what’s happening mentally/emotionally internally, vs being forced to compartmentalise and process others as well and not take things to the extent that I breakdown. Its easy to be an asshole, it’s not always so brave to be fearlessly authentic or accepting, usually because of insecurity, whether that hidden as pretentiousness or not.. and alotttt of people live their lives miserable because they’re afraid of themselves and being judged by others when in actuality that judgement is all a reflection of their inner insecurity. Vulnerability shouldn’t be mistaken for weakness, it’s actually courageousness. Humility is powerful and graceful. There’s no shame in wanting to improve and literally all of us, including Ryland could improve. I’m proud of how he made more of an effort to have your back instead of the passive aggression or competition you show toward both show toward each other at times. Be that power couple, show loyalty, unity and acceptance and be mutually respectful and understanding.. you’re both going to need the support of each other now more than ever, forever, with your legacy coming into fruition. You both can compliment each other well and learn a lot more from each other. Change is going to be uncomfortable yet as equally as exciting and challenging and rewarding. I love seeing the optimism. Ryland needs to continue being a support beam, as do you. We’re all perfectly imperfect. You’re so lucky to have such beautiful people around you and a beautiful support system, not all of us have the strength of others to help challenge and uplift us xox you’re doing great! Don’t discourage yourself either to climb any mountain, be grateful you do sweat and breathe, you’re body is doing incredible things every day for you, embrace that 🤍 or just get Botox lol its 2023, ain’t no body can judge without first spraying their mirrors with windex but either way, don’t let anything hold you back anymore, be the example you’re kids deserve xox

13 minutes in and I am in tears - when Shane said that he cares about living, that hit hard, I'm coming to the end of my 20's and only now is this starting to resinate with me, only a year ago I didn't care to live, or about living and now as I am aging I am also now starting to feel that way - thank you for sharing and making me not feel crazy for feeling this way

I can relate so much to what Shane was saying I did so much damage to my body with my eating disorder I didn't care at the time because I didn't think I would live to be 30. Now I have heart issues and so many other health issues. I have multiple specialists I have to see live does get harder when you actual start to give a crap about yourself 😂 I'm so happy to see Shane making his health a priority ❤

Okay I’m only 13 minutes in but I have some things. First, I know that ryland loves Shane so much but like I have not seen it more than just now when Shane was talking about his health concerns. I just wanted to say I feel you on the health anxiety thing. It’s actually crazy that I clicked on this video today because earlier today I was in tears about my own health as I’m getting older. I feel like I’m grieving my youth now that I’m having a lot of different health issues coming up all of the sudden. I feel like I messed up really bad not taking care of myself at all because I never imagined I would make it to 30 and now I’m 29 and engaged and happy and I’m scared about not knowing how to take better care of myself. Thank you for actually talking about it it really helped me right now.
