Your Sims will get the chance to become amateur chefs, and they’ll look the part too! Outfit them in Kitchen-ready hairstyles, food themed accessories, and aprons.

I have actually been DYING for a food pack like this, I love making sims that share my passions, and food is definitely one of them. Since Get To Work, Dine Out and Seasons, all my favourite sims have owned bakeries, restaurants, and had massive families to feed extravagant holiday meals, I love it!!
Huh we already have a food pack why are you people getting excited 😬
Because for me, I love getting one of my favourite aspects of the game expanded

@@madewhole-ev4uy That, I do agree with. It’d be nice to get extra content without having to pay extortionate amounts every time for very little content, but I don’t have much to be excited about these days, and if this is the norm, I’m going to enjoy my breadcrumbs ☺️

I love that the fridges FINALLY FIT THE SPACE. There’s no awkward gap between the counters and the appliances
I use twisted mexi’s TOOL mod to scale up refrigerators to fill the gap (if you’re interested in this)

For real, I actually love the concept of Dine Out so much I still try to make it work...tbh they should have followed TS2 Open for Business' mechanics/style, upgraded it so it was current, and it would have been way more successful/popular. Removing in-home businesses (esp for a game that's notorious for taking forever to load even _without_ mods,) ensured failure, and with that they stopped caring about fixing the pack because people didn't like it. Oops this is a passionate topic for me lmao pardon my word vomit
@@sporkboy7380 Hi, you might already know but LittleMsSam created a mod called "Live in business" that fixes that. You can even run vet clinics and bars from home !
They should have just mashed together 6 packs and they could have a proper expansion pack...🙄EA's hunger for money is ridiculous at this point.

@BengtBagels they need to create expectation so more people will want to watch. If they release it immediately, it could pass unnoticed by a lot of people. This way word can be spread and get to more people.

As someone who bakes as a hobby, and realizes that although kitchens are important in the sims. It's very much less prioritized. So I'm glad to see more activities in the Kitchen!!
You're joking right? Objects and activities for the kitchen has probably been one of the most things updated for the game the kitchen has had a stuff pack already a kit and content added for it in almost every pack. They even added family cooking awhile back.
@@lance9249 They are not, it's not been totally neglected, but it's one of the day to day things where you can *feel* the gap between what seems like it should be in the game and what is.
Take cupcakes for example, the cupcake machine has been in the game for ages, but for some reason just baking them in the oven wasn't? Pizza could be ordered but not made? This is filling in gaps.

this is literally just a mash up of cool kitchen and dine out....
Stuff packs became more gameplay/content-filled as time went by. The first one (luxury party) compared to the last one (paranormal) is miles apart. So I expect this one to be as gameplay/content-filled as the Paranormal pack.

the first pack was "Growing Together" followed by "Horse Ranch" so we'll find out what the third expansion pack could be

This is actually amazing considering Cool Kitchen only came with the ice-cream machine but this comes with a waffle toaster, a mixer, AND A PIZZA OVEN! Stuff packs are awesome!

@@1995biggestfan Popcorn came with the movie stuff pack. 🙂 I still like Cool Kitchen, I find the the taste of diet ice cream to be very useful, but they've really upped the playable content in their later stuff packs!

Notice there's no mention of Dine Out compatibility ? "Nah, we'll just stick a vendors market stall on a bit of raised floor and plonk a few tables and seats around to make it look interesting'ish".

I think they already showed everything in the video. I am just not sure if i saw a mounted microwave of if its just a niche in the cabinet.

I'll be honest, this stuff pack was a complete and total surprise. It's not what I anticipated, but I just know I'm going to use it for my Sim version of Miyuki, because she loves to cook. So she'll be cooking up a storm for the husband Martin and her kids. So, it's kind of a pleasant surprise. I heard the expansion pack is going to be neighborly from the email with the blog post. That has me very curious what you all are planning.
Same with my guy… even though he’s very wealthy. My Sims guy is a foodie AF and loves to spoil his wife with delicious meals.😊

can’t believe people were booing this in the livestream; as someone who bakes and makes homemade pizza very regularly, this is probably gonna be my favorite stuff pack
They boing becouse we alrady have a game pack (dine out - 20 €), stuff pack (cool kitchen - 10 €) and kit (country kitchen - 5€) about kitchens and cooking
Thats 35€ for one single gameplay mechanic that (if i dont have outdated news) has a completely broken body weight system.
So now they want to add another 10€ for some pizza & waffles and the ability to do a retail for them (like wo dont have full a restaurant system (dine out 20€) + retail system (Get to work 40€), and ability to do yard sailes (i belive jungle adventure? 20€)
So in order to have the full retale ability now you need 20+40+20 + now 10 €
Thats absolutley grate value proposition 😄
How many packs about the kitchen do we need kitchens have had a stuff pack already a kit and have been touched on with objects and game play in multiple expansions while other areas have not been given attention since the base game or Get to Work. Where's the gym stuff pack that fleshes out the gym or the Bar stuff pack that adds in a pool table and fleshes out the bars we have had since base game and get added into every world with nothing to do. Booing yet another kitchen pack makes sense.

@@lance9249 I feel the same way. It makes me wonder how many of these positive comments are from the sim team themselves. People are this excited because your sims can cook pizza at home? We already had tables from other packs where we can sell things. None of this is original.
I just hope they have different types of pizza because you can get cheese/canadian/peppeoni pizza anywhere in the Sim

This is exactly what I hoped to have in the game for a long time!! Cool Kitchen is one of my fav stuff packs, and this will go with it wonderfully!! The clothing options are mega cute (love the pizza earrings!!), the cabinets and corner shelf are beautiful, and the clutter? Ah, the clutter!! Fantastic job

Tbh, I like the idea of having a side hustle job in the sims. One thing I want more is ways to make money that isn't just always off-screen job

The Sims is my favourite game but I’ll admit, packs can be a hit or a miss. But this is definitely a hit for me. I love having my sims cook. And I usually never wear earrings but I love those pizza ones. I am SUPER pumped

The storytelling here is actually making me tear up. It's just a person (maybe a mom, maybe a guardian) who keeps trying despite constant failures to eventually succeed. And I love the addition of the kid even though they're not participating in the cooking. Cooking and food is just such a huge social activity to a lot of folk/cultures, including myself. The amount of times my family or I am cooking and then another relative joins in just to exist in the same room is immeasurable. And of course, sharing that food with non-family is the same.
Very excited for this pack; definitely looking ahead into making my current cooking sims sell from a food stand.
Even the song choice is very good.
