Remember when we got Werewolves, witches, vampires and fairies all in one thoughtfully made expansion pack.
Well people complained about that because people complain about everything. They were mad that they bought an entire occult pack when they may have only been interested in one occult. So instead, now we have 4 packs that cost $20 each (are you doing the math??).
Well instead of fairies, we have mermaids and they cost $40 all on their own.

I kind of wish the wolves looked more scary and less like the "furry" style, but overall the pack looks like fun! I'm most excited for the new objects and CAS styles. The new world looks nice too, I just hope we get more lots.

I noticed how when the girl approached the werewolf base, there was a werewolf shadow even though she is in her human form. Nice little detail!

At 0:54, I noticed a picture of Vlad clawed out which I think is a cool detail, but I hope it means that werewolves and vampires can fight each other while using their powers.
I caught that too. It would be fun if werewolves despised vampires and vice versa. If that is the case, I'm definitely making a household of vamps and wolves to see how chaotic it gets.
One of the hints on twitter says something like "century long conflict". So i think they would hate each other.

The punching bags also have vampires spray painted on them, so if they can’t fight that’d be a huge let down

I absolutely LOVE this pack, but it would be good if children had beast forms, not fully developed beast forms, but TS2 styled beast forms.
We both know this is aimed at ferries thats why.
Imagine they had interesting interactions with vampires, would’ve loved to see a sort of rivalry between them or just something that would link them together for a solid storyline. In the vampire mansion they had statues of werewolves hung up as an indication of opposition (just a thought). Also wish they were abit more scary to match the other occult sims

There’s already a werewolf mod for the sims. The werewolves look so great! And you can create hybrids too!

The pack is already cool, they aren’t going to go super realistic. The flat face is kinda what throws it off, but the pack is much more than just the werewolves.
A year later, I still love this pack, it ties a cool story between vampires and realm of magic, the scrappy design of moonwood mill is awesome and the werewolves are cool

I like the world, like the aesthetics.. I just don't understand why they didn't give the werewolves proper digitigrade werewolf legs. It would have made the werewolves look so much better. They look like they belong in the cats musical movie and we all know how cursed that looked 🥲
Because it would be WAY too costly? Remember, the Werewolves in Sims 3 didn't have it either.
They would have had to edit so many objects that the wolves could interact with to make it work as well as make a tonne adjustments to the sims themselves to get it to work. Remember everything they make has to (theoretically) work with all the stuff sims have in other packs AND cc and mods. So keeping it simple makes it less likely to bug out and to make sure that cool build buy pack you downloaded off someones patreon still works.
Yup, its extremely expensive to build an entire new character rig just for a game pack!

@@AlibiBlu Well real wolves don't have feminine or masculine features. You can't tell whether one is a female or a male unless if you check. I like how they're androgynous, they don't look too masculine.

Please, please, PLEASE don’t let us down. This trailer actually made me quite excited for the pack (I love the world, CAS items, B&B items, werewolf form customization, and the werewolf interactions, and I like that they actually seem like werewolves and not just hairy people, but there’s something about the way they look that’s just off) but I’m worried that it’s not going to live up to the expectations you’ve set and/or it’ll be super laggy and buggy. Please don’t let us down again.

@@kiaira8824 Fr. I didn’t even buy MWS because it was so laggy, and honestly IMO it ruined weddings. I would’ve bought it for the CAS and B&B items if it didn’t replace weddings. This one I might buy anyways just because I like the CAS and B&B items, but it’s sad that we even have to worry about it being so laggy that it’s unplayable. It’s sad that we always expect the least now.
I hope we get werewolf skill tree like vampires/fame.. maybe one day mermaids will have one too :(

The werewolves look a little weird but I'm still excited! The world definitely gives me Life Is Strange vibes and I like that. I'm also just happy to have more occults since that's all I play with nowadays!

Yeah, that render they released really did them no favours. Am disappointed in the lack of tails and the wolves not walking digigrade, but they certainly look better than they did in TS2/TS3.

No because I genuinely love the way they look, I feel like I’m one of the only ones who’s obsessed with occult sims. I’ve always loved werewolves the most so I’m super excited! 😫 I feel it’s actually going to be good! And the lots are gonna be great since James Turner (a simmer) helped. I AM IMPATIENT.

The werewolves in this are a bit furry-ish but I'm excided by the combat they showed in the trailer, I can imagine some cool werewolf vs vampire brawls!
I'm not gonna expect it, but I do wish they coded in a vamp vs wolf brawl. TS3 Supernatural had lots of fun interactions between different occults, and the sims 4 developers showed intersectionality between different packs before, so it wouldn't be an outlandish idea.

I dig the style of the werewolves. I wasn't so sure from the cover art, but seeing them in-game really sold me, especially on the customization and the different head shapes. I just wish they had tails and actual paws (at least for the feet), but I'm sure some mods can fix that (though I'm sure there are tails a plenty already lol)

I'm so happy we're getting more occults finally. Occult players have been starved majorly for too long. I'm hoping now we will get fairies at some point too, that would make my lil fantasy heart so so happy 💕
I think this is the last occult, I mean, it took them forever to add in another... TS5 is probably in development, I hope they still do add in more tho but I doubt they will.

@@reeceyb505 I think they will tbh. Fairies made an appearance once in the sims 3 and it's now the most requested occult and the sims team has acknowledged it. There a good few years of content left in the sims 4 and they have also stated that too, I am honestly just really hopeful because they are my main occult that I've wanted in the game and ik we have an amazing mod by spinning plumbobs but I'd love an official pack and world for them. I just don't see why they wouldn't at least finish like all the main occults before launching the sims 5
Personally, I am excited for this one. I don’t mind the way the wolves look, and I love the look of the clothes, town, and furniture.
I am still nervous about glitches and gameplay after wedding stories, but I have a feeling this is still going to be a good one.

It has taken me a long time, but now I realized that halfway through the song they just drop the Similish.
The werewolves look a lil wonky but everything else looks super cool, and the info on the pack page is cool. Like the video showed a den like thing. Which was cool. Plus that was an elevator. Do we get to use elevators in our houses now? I just hope the world isn't as small as the vampire one. Wolves need room to run.

I admit, when I first saw the cover art, I was very skeptical about what the final product would look like, but I'm actually happy with their proportions, as well as their realistic animations and interactions!
It looks like there was a lot of thought given to the design of this pack, so I am really looking forward to what's in store for us.
It looks like there were Moon phases, and I'm interested in seeing if there actually are, and if so, if they have an effect on anything else besides the werewolves in the game.
Where did you see them because I only saw the same full moon we've been seeing?
Personally I hope moon phases are base game and it affects other stuff as well. Maybe astrology being introduced?

I loved the moon phases in the Sims 3, I hope they will bring them back now.
It would've been nice if they had given us proper witches and not the cheap spellcasters, where moon phases would affect the potency of different spells (such as positive spells would be more powerful in the waxing phase, and negative spells in the waning phase). I really hope this isn't just another cashgrabber pack that they made in a rush just to give players what they wanted and call it a day.

They couldn’t have really done anything else. Making them van gelding style monsters wouldn’t have fit with the rest of the game, and people weren’t a fan of the Teen Wolf/The Wolfman style from sims 3

But not everyone has the same viewing of a werewolf. Also the vamps are not that scary to where they stand out from the wolves
we have wolvesbane, territory marking, peeing anywhere, and cute new clothing options. I'm glad the wolves arent super gendered and they all look the same. its a pet peeve to have female animals looking overly sexualised. they look a little off but I liked the wolf with glasses

Well EA can't make everyone happy, can they? 😂 I'm definitely impressed how much they improved in everything even if it took them almost 8 years 😂 But one thing I'd love to have in TS4 now is more "hide and seek" when it comes to occults. Like reactions from humans and stuff that really impacts the story 🤔 I need a crowd of angry human sims hunting down Vlad because his midnight visits are so annoying 😂

@@rach3092 I don't think I mind the werewolves as much as others but I don't love them either. but it makes since that they are pretty humanoid for ease of animation. I would like the choice to make them scary like vampires, but they are kinda cute in like a cartoon way. zootopia vibes. some say the kinda look like furies though lol

I said this as an occult player, i am glad they did that or we'll end up with witches, fairies a.k.a witches 2.0, recycled family-friendly vampires with extra meaningless social interactions, and not even half-baked werewolves that is ts3 supernatural.
@@XVlove I would argue that everything in the sims 4 is half-baked, and I wouldn't be suprised if the werewolves were either. From this trailer it looks like the sims have different walk cycles, can pee on the ground, can howl, and can fight each other. I'm sure there's some extra gameplay, but almost certainly not enough to warrant the price and not enough to be fun for longer than 2 days 🤷♂️
@@ghoslt i don't know about that, cause i think vampire is the best we've got in ts4. The game certainly isn't great, but i can certainly say I played a lot more hours as vampires in the Sims 4 than in the Sims 3 and 2 combined. Unlike ts3 supernatural, this way, i can pick and choose. If werewolves turns out to be bad, i don't have to waste more of my money just to play vampires, or in the Sims 3 supernatural case, witches, and i don't have to pay extra for half-baked stuff like Werewolves or zombie, etc. You get what your money worth, granted the pack their selling has good quality like vampires.

More hyped for this than the last two expansions. The neighborhood looks sick, love the decor and outfits, and Legoshi looking werewolves aside they seem really fun.

I would say its because humans don't have tails normally but logically its probably because of clipping and the skeletal structure of the model that would need to be changed to accommodate a tail. like how link's hat in legend of zelda had that to make it move.

At first I was really disappointed at the design of the werewolves but I really like it now. They are giving us a very powerful cas tool, and the trailer just shows all the different types of werewolves you can create. If you want to only have scary werewolves that still is possible all it takes is creativity. Super excited about this pack! It's a 10/10 for me. I can tell they are paying attention to players' criticism and they are delivering. The future packs will be amazing from now on I have a feeling.
Yes! I know everyone prefers traditional horror werewolves but I’m not here to get scared, I just wanna have fun. At least they gave us an option for players like me, I sometimes feel the community doesn’t think of other play styles

Personally been waiting for this and I'm so excited looks like the wolves are customizable which I'm so freaking excited and toddler howling is literally cutest thing ever I can't! I wish they would have little more scary not so clean more of rough then smooth for the werewolves but I'm loving what I'm seeing I can not wait for Cas build items seeing all the cool things about the werewolves

As I write this comment, I recently installed and started playing the Sims base game on Steam, and this pack seems very interesting to me because of the design of the werewolves, which I think are much better than those of Sims 2 and especially of 3, It makes me want to get it together with the rest of the expansion is packs, etc (if it wasn't for how much it would cost to have them 😞).
Although I would like them, apart from lycanthropes, to include other species of "werebeasts" or "anthro" animals, similar such as werebears, werefelines, etc. Something like Animal Crossing.

I was surprised to see how many people didn’t like the way the werewolf looked in the leaked picture. I personally really liked it. It’s cute, fit the game aesthetic well and actually look like wolf unlike the ones from previous Sims games. For those of you that don’t like it remember it will be (most likely) customizable like alien, mermaid and vampire.

This is the first time since Cottage Living that I'm exited for a new pack :) I love the occult sims and since vampires are really well done I'm hoping werewolves will be just as awesome!
These werewolves look like they would Woohoo in public, and by that I mean with other people watching.
I like that from this trailer the models even for the female werewolves don't fall into that design trap where they make their faces super small, delicate, and pretty and their bodies curvy and overly human.

I actually don’t like that…i do really like that they don’t look overly human, but it seems like they don’t retain literally any of their sim body shape. I still want all the varying shapes and sizes I create my sims to be. A very lazy, “larger” sim shouldn’t automatically be super buff as a werewolf, and I hope that’s not the case. I wouldn’t want it exaggerated, but I was hoping for some distinguishing features between them. Like, a female bodybuilder has a different form than a male bodybuilder, simply because of the differences in the way they build muscle 🤷🏻♀️ I’ll still buy it and enjoy it of course, I’ve been waiting a long time for werewolves!
