I love how all the concubines don't seem to be jealous at all
Unlike Chinese drama
@@comradeleppi2000 Trueee
She's the Queen after all😅😅😅so it makes sense for them...plus the King never mistreated them anyway 😅😅😅
@@princessjoyhernandez6054 Plus the queen loves them... too much in fact 😂
@@rowzeeistyra it's the Queen's attempt to remain straight 🤣...as a dude
The actor and actress did an amazing job. This drama still makes me happy.
I cannot express how much I love this dama, the leads did an amazing job and their acting match each other so well. I have been rewatching this drama multiple times already.
1:30 that's literally me😂😂
"are you a cctv camera?" lol
I love their chemistry 😍
I love this scene
Can someone please tell me how the King calls his Queen? The actual Korean word for “My Queen“...
He calls her Jungjeon, which means "Central Palace" in Sino-Korean. The address for Queen in the Joseon Dynasty in the Joseon Dynasty was written as Jungjeon-mama (중전마마; 中殿媽媽). Those subordinate to her would address her with this title while the King and the Queen Dowagers would just call her Jungjeon. As for the Korean title for Mr. Queen, I think that was just an English title the translators came up since the show revolves around the soul of a man trapped in a queen's body. The Korean title is actually the name of the protagonist, Queen Cheorin.

@@thaothelazycat930 thank you so much for the info… 😊👍
Missing this drama so bad!
I feel bad for the concubines. They see how cute the king and queen are together but they will never have a romance like that because they are also married to the king but he loves the queen.
i loved this drama. sad that it is being banned in korea. (i think it is being banned in korea.) please don’t ban it from international platforms.
why is it being banned?
@@user-si3jr3nn7o as far as i know... Korea is very sensitive about their history... This drama doesn't show the real history of korean.. It's a fictional drama.... They always have issues with china about history...
It's due to the writers basing the main characters on King Cheoljong and Queen Cheorin. The characters' behaviour, comportment and commentary do not reflect the historical figures at all. Neither does the story. It's a comedy, a fictional story so by rights, the writers should have made up fictional names. Why they chose to use the names of the real King and Queen is anyone's guess. It's a costly mistake.
@@OG21020 It makes sense. If it doesn't reflect the true history, then choosing a real historical royal names is a huge blunder.
@@r-bela The drama doesn't reflect recorded history so it's a period drama, not a historical drama.
In history, King Cheoljong was chosen because of his illiteracy and lack of upbringing. He was a puppet King from beginning to end when he was suspected to be poisoned by the Andong Kims.
It isn't so in the drama where the character knows how to read, how to dress and is able to wrest back the authority of the King.
It is stated at the beginning of the drama everything is fictional but the writers did choose to use the names and background of real people from history so that disclaimer is controversial at best and unacceptable to some South Koreans.
1:30 she is the mean lead of another Korean drama right
The one on teh right is Lee Yubi.
ARE YOU A CCTV?!
In Korea, there is a list of families called genealogy, most of which are lists of families that are over 1000 years old. Even now, when children are born, their descendants are listed in the genealogy, and this drama has become a problem because the descendants of Queen Cheolin and members of the Lee dynasty sued the broadcasting company for distorting history.
But who in the world would believe this drama is a work of truth? Clearly it’s fictional
@@harashe1000 even though the story is fictional to some point , the king and queen come in story were real historical figures .
@@rishmichamathsara3372 I get they were real people, I just don’t understand what the problem is since entertainment industry creates fake stories about real people all the time.
Maybe because I’m not related to the people in the film I’m struggling to understand the point of view of the descendants. I guess they’re very proud/strict of their lineage?
I really love damhyang here
In 1831 (31st year of King Sunjo), on July 25 (June 17 of the lunar calendar), at Gyeonghaengbang, Hanseong-bu, Hyanggyo-dong, Cheoljong was born at the priesthood of Jeongjo's half-brother Euneongun Lee In. He was the eldest son and third son of Lee Gwang of Jeongye Daewongun, and was born as the son of the Yeom clan, the wife of Yongseong. His real name was Wonbeom, and his name, Byun, was changed after he ascended to the throne. Due to the influence of the Sanggye-gun Incident, Song Maria, and Shin Maria Incidents, as well as the fact that he was the illegitimate son of Eun-eon-gun, his biological father, Lee Kwang, was not able to receive a royal title in the past. I came to Hanseong. His father, Lee Kwang, had a son, Won-gyeong, who was appointed as Hoe-pyeong-gun, from his headquarters, Choi, and obtained Won-beom from his concubine, Yeom. In 1844 (10th year of King Heonjong), the family was exiled to Gyodongdo (喬桐) due to the death of his half-brother Hoipyeonggun (懷平君) Lee Myung (李明), and then the family was exiled to Gyodongdo (喬桐).
The illegitimate son of Crown Prince Sado, Eun-eon-gun, was exiled to Ganghwa-do after being exiled to Ganghwa-do after Hong Guk-yeong tried to appoint Sanggye-gun as Jeongjo's heir, and after King Jeongjo's death, his wife Song and daughter-in-law Shin were secretly practicing Catholicism. Afterwards, Sunjo accepts the support of his father, Jeongjo, who tried to save his half-brother Eun-eon-gun, and tries to release Eun-eon-gun's children. In 1817, Sunjo built a house for Euneon's sons in Ganghwado, but he ignored the opposition of the ministers of Noron, and said that Sunjo should not be troubled because he was not released.
In 1822 (Sunjo 22), his sentence was commuted from Yu Lian Chi-hyeong, so that a fence of thorns around Eun-eon-gun's children's houses was removed, allowing them to marry, so that they could live like ordinary people. As always, objections were raised this time as well, but Sunjo did not accept it. In 1830, the descendants of Euneon-gun were born in Ganghwa-do, and Cheoljong was born in 1831 at Gyeonghaengbangsa Temple in Hanseong. According to the chieftain, he read the Zhou Heungsa Thousand Characters (千字文) written by Zhu Heungsa in 1834, when he was 4 years old, and had a good memory. However, he could not afford to pursue further studies after that. In 1836 (2nd year of King Heonjong), Nam Eung-jung's treason case caused his family to be exiled again to Ganghwa-do.
