FYI - Learned the hard way. Goof Off will melt plastic. I attempted to clean a clear dome cover from a security camera (sticky stuff on it), and it literally melted the plastic. So just be careful. Stuff is much stronger than Goo Gone.

Just used Goof Off to remove white latex paint on my son’s car paint plus clear rock chip film and it worked great, thanks for the how to video!

I used Goof Off on a customers vehicle Audi Q7 for some road tar on the bottom rocker areas. Super strong chemical smell but worked out great! I used some micro fiber towels instead of terry towels because I wasn't planning on polishing the paint. I threw them away afterwards because they turned black. Great information as always Larry, thank you!

Denatured alcohol breaks down latex paint too. Just a safer option compared to the goof off

Do you have any concerns about removing the UV coating on the light when you were compounding it? Will it start to turn yellow faster?

I see that you polished after the compounding you put on the "Ammo skin" - what exactly it does - is it like a clear coat and how long it will stay? Also, do you recommend applying a clear coat in such case to protect the underneath paint which would have been removed with goof off?

Larry, thank you so much. My question is how do you make a DA jiggle vs spin? Do you apply more pressure to slow down the oscillations, on a slow 2-3 speed, or is it the movement of back and forth with the DA? Also if it is pressure, would I increase the down pressure to the 10-15 pounds compared to my typical 5-10 #s on paint? Again, terrific show.

Larry I don't know how picky I am being I love your videos but when you put the rag up to the can like you do you are transferring contaminants back into the can this was something that was taught to me in body shop class so you should use a separate cup to pour your cleaning solvent in therefore not contaminating the contents in the can thank you so much God-bless

Once we use the goo off, do we then have to apply compound or can we leave it as is? Btw, doesn't the compound remove the clear coat?

This method definitely works! Discovered a paint transfer and scratches after being parked up and was so pissed! It looked really bad but after viewing the vid and following all steps it fcking worked! Thanks a mil.

You should have posted this past weekend. Somehow latex paint got splattered on the side of my car while driving in the city. I removed it using a portable foam gun to lube up the surface and then using a silicone pastry dough scraper to peel the latex paint off. Definitely made sure to go only in one direction when using the tool.

So how to you stop the DA from rotating as much? Pressure?

What product should I use to protect 0% black vinyl from fading from the UV Ray's? Anyone got input?

I had a decent sized paint transfer scrap on a rear wheel arch...easily been there for a year. Grabbed some Goof-Off and it was gone in not even a minute. It was like cleaning a coffee mug ring on the sink with a sponge...wipe and gone.

Since you were polishing with a heavy cut compound, why did you even bother using the Goof Off? Surely the M100 would of taken that transfer off
