As an Indian I can say that this is true, and it worked to some degree. Also great job on the Indian music in the background, its very accurate and not generic like other music they put in videos.

another thing that I wish he'd brought up (though this was made 2 years ago so this could be a more recent thing) is that t-series honestly doesn't get many views. Especially considering how many subscribers they have. Currently, they have 150M subscribers and on their home page, the videos you see have views ranging from 800M to 2M, which is fairly good. But if you click on the video category (all of their videos, not just their big ones) they get about an average of 200K-300K views on each video. And what I've seen from watching a ton of videos of different youtubers with different sub counts, about a third or fourth of their subscriber count (this isn't including mr beast cuz jesus christ only a fourth of his subscribers DONT watch his vids) watch their videos. So for a huge youtube channel like T-series that doesn't make sense. I don't have any scientific reasoning for this but if matpat (or anybody for crying out loud) could explain or make any sense of this, please do. I also may have my facts wrong because I didn't pour my soul into this research.
That is because TSeries is a record label and has practically the entire music catalog of 30 years and counting.
Hey I want to make it clear that the videos with millions of views are actually the real music they produce, rest all of the other videos are kind of behind the scenes and as you may know behind the scene videos don't get so much views as the main one does.
That's bc why would you watch something that you can watch on tv which you pay for
T series is like vevo. Some songs are terrible while others are amazing. There's no cult of 9 year old fangirls who will watch all their videos
Listen, don't write long comments without due research. There is no loving or hating T series, they are a music label. Lemme explain this with an example, Imagine all of Justin Bieber's songs, Eminem's raps, ncs stuff, every other singer on one channel, you wouldn't watch their songs because you love the ceo of the company of that channel, YOU WATCH IT BECAUSE YOU WANT TO HEAR SOME GODAMNN MUSIC. Trust me, eastern classical music (in my opinion atleast) is way better than today's model songs. Even though now those catchy songs with semi nudity are spreading in India (Actually they have) but eastern classical has held its own.

There's actually a theory going around that new Middle Eastern KRplus accounts are "auto-subbed" to T-Series. So you know, we tested this out with a few different accounts (new/old, from different parts of the world, etc.) and couldn't make it happen reliably enough to list it as a cause. It's something KRplus HAS done in the past, but in this case, there just wasn't enough hard evidence.

hey I live in India and know the exact reason, a company named jio released free internet for indians, as this happened T-series was the largest music company in India and was gaining subscribers not as fast as many people have very slow internet, so when jio got released everyone got their hands on the new tech for them and as T-series knew that youtube was going to be a big platform here so they focused on it. T-series started posting a lot more they previously did to make money and that's probably the most realistic part about this
PewDiePie does deserve the respect since he is a self-made man with minimum budgeting and editing rather than a production company.
