KRplus Rewind 2019 came out and most people were left unimpressed, some even angry - though not as much as last year. I watched it myself, hoping to see the KRplus rewind of yesteryear, where it felt like a celebration of the Creator community. Alas, no. This year was so disconnected from that concept, more a top ten list than a recap of our platform's milestones. Why though? Why has this become KRplus's new norm - and yes, this is now the norm. KRplus is sending us all a message with this rewind, and all of its responses to the recent changes on the platform, that it is not one of us Creators.

KRplus can never fix KRplus rewind, because KRplus is dead. The original KRplusr creators that made KRplus a great platform to watch videos on, are starting to leave or have left already. The passion and creativity has been drained by money and greed. KRplus is no longer a hobby, but a business. All that's left is money and clout chasers that act as corporate shills and disguise themselves as vloggers, bloggers, make-up channels, etc. Do you honestly look forward to rewinding people like David Dobrik, James Charles and other disingenuous people? In the end, what is there to rewind...? If you read all of this, go do me a favour and watch Nigahiga, one of the last original KRplusrs that gives actual meaning to the word.

Part of me thinks she thought that gamers were being treated correctly, but she was just ignorant. If she did know what she was doing yeah she sucks, but honestly ignorance is people’s fault but not always. I do agree that gamers weren’t treated correctly, and I think that it’s either Susan’s fault, the people below her’s fault, or no one’s fault, they are just ignorant and didn’t figure out that that alone was disrespectful. Heck, I didn’t realize it either, I don’t even know if PewDiePie realized that, so if it was ignorance, then maybe the CEO OF THE COMPANY should take things into consideration and think about them more...
Her tone was totally passive aggressive.
She might have tried to be optimistic, and lie to herself. She generally seems to care about youtube and its creators, but there might be larger forces at play some how or another. She might be trying to tell herself that what she is doing is for the good of everyone involved, but is not facing reality.

I know I've clocked watching more hours of KRplus than regular TV or movies at this point and I'm good with that because it's what I like. It'd be like saying the Russo brothers no longer cared about making Marvel movies but they still will. They stopped after Endgame because they care about what they create. KRplus doesn't care but continues to push out something which is why it feels so cold and why this will probably hit a lot of people.

I don't think they have much choice; politicans woke up and started to pressure big social medias including KRplus a lot for their political reasons. If KRplus would keep personality it would get slashed hard by those. It did what it had to to at least let KRplus community to keep fighting ; to at least have platform to fight on. That's what it did. As of rewind; I never watched any; I seen last year one indirectly coz of so much backlash and videos about it. I'm on KRplus for many many years and before that I didn't even know KRplus had rewinds. It is just not what I'd care about. But yeah I hope KRplus community doesn't die coz of KRplus itself lost personality in order to survive for us.
Covid was the perfect excuse for youtube to cancel rewind this year. Which is sad, because amazing things also came with this world wide crisis, and it actually brought people together

It jumped out at me since when I saw top games I thought that they would go into top gaming creators, so I was excited to see jacksepticeye, Markiplier, and game theorists potentially on that list and then it didn’t happen. Like I watch a lot of gaming videos on twitch and KRplus so I paid more attention after gaming popped up.
I've been hoping a new platform will surface and replace KRplus.. I love youtube and have grownup on it but it is getting worse every year. I dont see youtube being replaced anytime soon but I hope they either pull themselves together or get replaced.

KRplus was heavily built upon the foundations of the gaming community. The executives at KRplus don’t realize the very beginnings of their own company. They don’t recognize the value of gamers as they should be.

I'm really enjoying these videos, MatPat and Team. I realize that you might not have a specific channel where this content falls into but I would certainly follow another one of your Theory Channels, like "Life Theory" or just "Theory Channel" if you ever thought of going that route. But I'm ok with these new video drops in Game Theory. The details are so interesting and complete. I'm learning so much.

KRplus once seemed like a partner in the genuine production of creative ideas. They’re now a cold, metal robot. I’m so glad the creators are still so passionate and likely always will be. I just wish that was enough.
If they want to make it seem like they still care, they should just pay a bunch of creators to make the rewind. They would have a TON more passion for the project, especially after this 2019 rewind

All I have to add to this conversation is there are different kinds of platforms to build on. So I postulate what strata does "the Platform" consist of? Foundations and where they are built play key roles in engineering and building structurally sound architecture. Building on granite is completely different from building on sand. Shadow Cat but if we leave there are going to be thousands who lose their income and jobs. It’s a tough matter. I don’t like what KRplus is becoming but I do still believe in the creators I’ve watched over the last 5+ years. Like I want MatPat to make money so he can pay his team and so he can also take care of his family. Call it dumb cause I’ve never met the guy, but these channels are people’s sources of income not just videos.

I was around when people were taking the videos from websites and putting them on youtube. It was easier to find the stuff from albinoblacksheep on here because KRplus wasn't blocked at school.

I know about KRplus when my friend said you can watch artist's clip video in other place than MTV, it's called KRplus, that's how I got involved. back then I hadn't discovered other fun KRplusr like Matpat or pewdiepie
The thing that I disliked about the 2019 Rewind is, when the video said "Let's see what you picked", or something similar to that, I just felt as if they were being rude in a way. It sounded like someone who lost an argument, snapped and just said "oh yeah, well let's see what you got" if that makes any sense.

After rewatching this for the hundredth time it seems, I really hope MatPat will do his due diligence to keep this tradition alive for us. He did give us the best of the decade at the end of 2019. I wonder if he plans to take on the rewind, at very least for gaming, cause if any creator could do the rewind justice, I truly feel it is him (and the theorist team, of course 😘).

what if one day matpat (or other creators) just decided to make a new platform exactly like youtube but a good version of youtube without all the bad stuff and everyone just switched over and only companies will be using youtube and independent creators would be using "matpatube" so youtube will get what they want. Advertiser friendly platform, and the creators can finally be free.

Actually, maybe that's something that KRplus Community should actually do. For creators to get together and create their own KRplus Rewind for 2019.
KRplus can never fix KRplus rewind, because KRplus is dead. The original KRplusr creators that made KRplus a great platform to watch videos on, are starting to leave or have left already. The passion and creativity has been drained by money and greed. KRplus is no longer a hobby, but a business. All that's left is money and clout chasers that act as corporate shills and disguise themselves as vloggers, bloggers, make-up channels, etc. Do you honestly look forward to rewinding people like David Dobrik, James Charles and other disingenuous people? In the end, what is there to rewind...? If you read all of this, go do me a favour and watch Nigahiga, one of the last original KRplusrs that gives actual meaning to the word.
A computer doesn´t do rewind
I mean last year Pewdiepie made a rewind and this year I saw 2 made by others. All 3 definitely got more likes than last years and this years rewinds. So at this point I don't even expect them to make one next year because these other people are doing so much better anyways.
@@xPhantomxify Ryan higa is not only just the last one of the original KRplus cast but is apart of a group of creators that still do what they love but most importantly don't care about the money look at tomska, he uploads once a year and doesn't even follow KRplus's policy of having kid friendly content to have a greater advantage of getting more views (money), he is one of those who have been there that followed hes path of what he loves to do for example comedy sketches, gaming, podcast etc its the same for other KRplus that still produce a continues cycle of videos that stay true to the original version.
I really hope that a bunch of big you tubers get together to make their own rewind even if COVID is going on. And I hope it will have all the KRplus community’s (beauty, gaming, comedy, and so on). But not just the genres but the people who do it. I know that this is an unpopular opinion but they should add gachatubers too! Because the gachatubers don’t get any recognition. I think it should have both big and small KRplusrs. Because we all have to get along and show that us youtubers are a family!

My 10 year old introduced me to your channels and now we watch along with our seven year old to learn how math and science can be applied to real world problem.
