ABOUT BON APPÉTIT
Bon Appétit is a highly opinionated food brand that wants everyone to love cooking and eating as much as we do. We believe in seasonal produce, properly salted pasta water, and developing recipes that anyone can make at home. - 엔터테인먼트
His food description are a million times more insightful than any other food vloggers out there. No generic "oh wow" or "that melts in your mouth" with this guy.
Oishii!
Helps having a trained palette as a chef. But yes I agree, Lucas is amazing in his descriptions and narration. I have really been enjoying this series, would love to continue seeing videos of him touring east asia (or elsewhere really!). Especially these small street-level places
Sounds like you’re describing mark wiens 😅
@@ahmadfuaddin I love Mark Wiens but he literally describes every single food the exact same way
He is better than some guys that have "daddy" issues. They like to 🥜 themselves in cars.
Give this guy a SHOW ALREADY!
He has his own show "Why It Works" on the Food52 channel.
I like finding Lucas all over youtube. It's a nice surprise every time
Weird that this guy doesnt have his own cooking channel with few million subs already
Lucas is gold. His passion for food and process is authentic and infectious.

Well said.
Lucas is, BY FAR, the best thing about BA recently.
8:47 😊in b . not hughie
really respect lucas for calling him a "master" ... thats who these chefs really are but people rarely say that just because they're not in some white table top fine dining setting ♥️
Lucas is the best, in another new episode. He visited a fruit shop in Bangkok that sells fruit dishes. And he addressed the young woman who was preparing the dish as "Chef". It nice to see stalls cooks being 'acknowledge' in that way
This guy manages to describe the cooking equipment, ingredients, and taste all with the same enthusiasm.
Lucas literally drooling out of his mouth as he's describing the science behind cooling the crab glass noodles. Me too. 🤣🤣
Can confirm, Somsak Crab is the real deal. Sooo much flavour in the dish. For those who don't want to sit on the street, they also have another store a block away in an actual sit-down and more importantly air-conditioned restaurant.
When he said “Stupid” under his breath it was at that point that I knew it was amazing! I also call things stupid when they are beautiful.
Lucas is a modern day Alton Brown
Thanks BA.... Here's the freaking Location! Somsak Claypot Crab branch1 @Charoen Rat 1 - 2 Charoen Rat Rd, Khlong Ton Sai, Khlong San, Bangkok 10600, Thailand
The chef did absolutely amazing managing, inspecting and cooking all the ingredients!! His internal clock for cooking everything to perfection while being meticulous leaves me in awe
Lucas explanation on the cooking process and taste got me salivating and got me more appreciative of the chef cooking and the dish. Havenly. Cant wait to check out this unassuming stall when i go Bangkok
Lucas is an excellent communicator. Masterful storytelling and extremely knowledgeable.
Evocative, intelligent, insightful, educational, and infectious. Brilliant commentary...as so many have mentioned already. And, it's such a simple dish too. Which makes what Lucas says all the more impressive. This dish is one I love to eat. Although I eat it with shrimp mostly and not crab.
His ability to narrate is the best I’ve seen since David Attenborough.
I am so envious of Lucas getting to visit all these incredible vendors
So informative and expressive; love Lucas's passion toward food! More please.
I love watching Lucas nerd out like this. 😄 More, please. ❤
to notice the cleanliness of the lid, only a chefs eye can see
The respect he gives to each chef and staff on the episodes is wonderful, no matter the location or dish.
BA and Food52 better keep up the Lucas content because he’s the only reason to watch their videos.
love Lucas. he's so knowledgable about cooking. I can listen to him talk about cooking forever!
"With the powers of oral dexterity" 🤣 so accurate. Such a perfect description.
Please keep doing these, love Lucas' insights on Asian cuisine.
He's the best for describing any food.
dude this guy mesmerizes with his commentary lol. love it
Chef Lucas is the best! Beautifully spoken, always so much insight in all his videos! Top tier chef
Lucas is the real deal. Real knowledge and real passion.
Lucas is always the best in food description - a master of food story!
The way he explained everything in details like if I was there with him 😊

Lucas is awesome to describe everything in the food, makes me starving
Another Lucas classic! he's the best
Always have this for dinner with my wife. It’s definitely the best you would ever find in Asia.

I feel like i know how to make crab glass noodles as well as the chef now. Ty Lucas!
this guy know how to talk about food..keep going mate
LOL, just love the seasoning of those noodles -- making my mouth water.
really impressed with the vocabularies of how he describes/review this. never heard someone said "oral dexterity" before in a food review videos 👏
Lucas is the GOAT of food vlogs
More Lucas please. Goat!
This is the most informative KRplus video I’ve ever watched
Absolutely yummy
We need a whole series of him talking about food
I used to live on that street. It tastes amazing! Aroi Mak Mak!
great presentation of technique and culture.
The play by play of the cooking process 😮💨😮💨😮💨
Oh cool! Didn't know that about the peppercorns vs chili peppers. Great video!
Perfection
Genius!!!
the play by play is insane, respect.
Thanks Chef❤
This guy did an incredible job describing the chef’s approach, and then his descriptions during the actual meal itself were fantastic. I’m jealous, that meals looks a,aging.
Lucas may be the only few person capable of doing a food log under a podcast format.
I see Lucas I click
Thank you, Chef. I gotta go to Thailand soon.
FASCINATING
you are CARRYING bon appetit these days
I haven’t tried glass noodles, looks delicious.
Unbelievable video Lucas
I wish they would put the location in the videos or description. I am going to Bangkok in a month.
Exactly it’s like you have to hunt to find this LOL!
If you google Somsak Pu Orb (Charoen Rat) Michelin Guide you’ll find it! Had to go dig through the Michelin once I see the sign!
2 Charoen Rat Rd, Khlong Ton Sai, Khlong San, Bangkok 10600, Thailand
Me too. I during Thanksgiving. I hope I can find this place.
Somsak Claypot Crab branch1 @Charoen Rat 1, 2 Charoen Rat Rd, Khlong Ton Sai, Khlong San, Bangkok 10600
I need Lucas to narrate my life
It's about the food/culture and not about him. That's what we like.
Creators of all types -- social media ain't a mirror.
🤩 wow
GOLD
We just follow you , appreciate that you visit and try Thai street food
Never heard of fermented white pepper but I would love to try it, I love pepper! Gonna check Google to see if it's available in the U. S. Amazing chef and very talented 👏
Host was great with the descriptions as well 😎
a classic and super delicious dish. a little bit of high end and a little bit of low end plus some time and effort equals delicious
Oral dexterity is crazy
This guy love his food...
The dish has many different spices but is great
Love thai food especially street food, but ive never been a big fan of glass noodles. Chiang Mai has a fantastic noodle stall at Tha Pae gate that has been there for decades. They do amazing Mee Gaew, moo Daeng, Luk chin. Aroy Maak Maak😋
I'm struck by how other countries have figured out how to do street food without the disposable containers that are so prevalent in the US. We could learn something.
ถูกใจทั่วโลกกกกกกกกกกกกกกก
LUCAS!
Genial
Actually the part that he mentioned about sechuan peppercorn arrivals in Thailand, the fact is there was something similar if not the same in the northern part of Thailand called “ma-khwin” which used for northern style larb.
Best food host sincerely
Yumm😊
i love the way he celebrates food that may seem pedestrian at first glance.
