Billy Joel sometime in 1977: ju-
Thomas Bangalter: oh shit turn it up
One of Billie Joel's best vocal performances.
he nailed the computer accent as nobody else
The New VegaBound
Fr, no joke
Really?
This is easily one of Daft Punk's most complex songs along with Face to Face.
Yes I think it is my favorite but requires appreciation to the art of sample arrangement and depth of structure. The buildup is immense yet is only a sample and 909.
@@pax1850 I was speaking in terms of sampling. Touch is quite complex too, but Human After All and Random Access Memories don't rely on samples for their songs.
@@sapphire1608 If we're talking about sampling, I'd like to call out the masterpiece that is Indo Silver Club. I don't know how they do it, but they take such a simple sample and blow it up to endless proportions to create a monster of a beat! The speed, complexity, and layering of this track is the best on Homework, imo.
@@sapphire1608 haa has lots of samples
@@calebdonaldson8770 finally I found someone who truly understood the huge incredible beauty of 'Indo Silver Club', pure magic, the essence of French house enclosed in one single track.

How can you not simply love ALL of Daft Punk?
because their newer stuff is garbage. Get lucky was horrible.
Human After All was an historic low for the group. I haven’t listened to RAM enough to get a solid opinion on it.
@@mrmanakin9684 get lucky was fucking great.
Rock n' Roll exists
I mean, I don't hate the song, but their experimental stuff is definitely an acquired taste. I don't blame people for not liking something like Rollin' and Scratchin', it's way too out there for it to click with everyone. Still love Daft Punk, but they aren't the gods of all music. Nobody is
Except Forget About the World, that song is a masterpiece
@@makotoisthebestprotag1870 I would take that back. Human after all is a good album much better than RAM. RAM they tried something really different and in some cases it worked very well for Thomas and Guy man but overall as a True DAFT PUNK fan every released DAFT PUNK song/album before RAM are better than that ALBUM. But I am very happy that RAM finally got them some recognition in the music industry when they got that grammy award.
Daft Punk were some of the first to popularize cut sampled vocals that you normally hear in every edm song nowadays

one of the most underrated daft punk song from this album.
I don't think, for me it would be Rock'n roll, because minimum high fidelity can be said to "dance" in clubs, and rock'n roll is just a loop and hardly changes at all.

This entire album is French House, lol
@@abhisheknair1502 Not purely. Roule and Crydamoure are more like traditional French House. Homework blends in a lot of TechnoFunk, Zipper, Acid, Big Beat, Hip Hop, Rock, etc. It essentially took the sounds of the Musique Era and refined them with more experimentalism. At the time of its release and still is: a type of French House that no one else can do.

A beautiful piece that sampled Billy Joel's Just The Way You Are
they managed to make the song even more dynamic. Usually today's electronic artist base themselves on funk songs that already have a certain groove, while here they have totally reconstructed a song that was not predestined for electro. I think that it was the first time i saw that!
