This performance is wonderful, especially compared to 2019's. Justin looks like he's genuinely having fun with this performance. The Prince tribute was amazing as well, because I know his death hit the people hard. What's wonderful as well is that he utilized LOCAL high schools for this performance! My schools dance team took part in this performance, and they had such a positive experience doing this. This is amazing, thank you for bringing such a wonderful performance to Minnesota!
I think it’s pretty impressive that Justin Timberlake performed for the entire half time show while usually its split into 3 artists. Point is you would think he would get tired after 5 minutes of singing but he managed to perform for the rest of the show

I liked the collaboration on the 2022 show too. Although, you didn't mention Kendrick who did the best in my opinion with the catchiest song along with Eminem and 50 cent.

It's disturbing the amount of people who don't know the difference between a hologram and a projection. He literally sang along to a scene from Purple Rain. And lit the city up Purple! That's nothing but respect. Death changes things and Justin is in his mid 30's. Can't perform a show like that in Minneapolis and not honor The Purple One.
Exactly! Still rings true 3 years later. Let me reiterate...no artist can perform in Minneapolis the year after the death of the Prince and not honor him in some kind of fashion. Period. And when I saw how they lit the city up purple I got chills. It was a wonderfully delightful way to honor the Man, They Myth, the Legend...the artist formerly known as Prince.

It’s as if people expected him to shatter the earth with his performance. He performed on a huge field for a huge crowd. A performance like this takes a lot of energy. I love his music enough to relax, jam out, and enjoy it without being overly critical.
There are no excuses for real performer. Look at Bruno, MJ, Prince, or even Madonna and Beyonce!

Shanese Mathis I think that’s the problem, he was tried to do too much. I think it would have been better if he wouldn’t have been all over the place. It’s hard to sing and walk, I give him props for trying, but it messed with his audio. I think he was trying to be epic and it just fell flat.

See gaga last year, she worked the stage, sang live, and danced, and she had a genuine moment with someone in the crowd, not a cringy "Superbowl selfie". She commanded the stage, Justin is just the type of crusty lil boy who is used to people swooning for him even when he puts forth minimum effort , and he proved that again with this sloppy underwhelming halftime show. If you like to applaud mediocracy that's fine just don't look all confused when no one else is going ape5hit with you.

Reminiscing about how much we loved this Super Bowl performance by Justin Timberlake! He made it like a collage! The happiness and joy he brings to his performances are infectious! Combined with those rocking dance moves and the Super Bowl Selfies interaction and comment was sweet and seamless! PLUS that AMAZING TRIBUTE TO ONE AND ONLY PRINCE! He is so missed. Wow. That was really touching and very well done. Much love to all!

Fuuton JT is probably the epitome og Superbowl material. It is an easy listen (his new album not included), it is light-spirited and he is an entertainer that can get a crowd into a dancing mood. That is just what you want for a 15 minutes half-time show.

As a Minnesota native, nothing makes me happier than seeing the whole country looking at our state, it was amazing, also, the part where everything turned purple was real, I live on Campus and everything shined purple, it was beautiful

Great energy level and dance. But where was the "vocal"? When Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Bruno Mars were dancing and singing, you could still hear a lot of their vocal. I could barely hear JT"s singing--which was further overpowered by the background vocals and soundtracks.
i just think hed rather be an actor rather than pop star nowadays his vocal arent as good as before maybe due to lack of training unline beyonce lady gaga and bruno mars. and i dont take it against him . i just though it would have been nice and easier for him if he brought nsync .

Because he doesn't lip sync his performance like all the others do, which is why he's a performer in the truest sense of the word. Think about it. You're trying to tell me that all the other pop artists out there can run around all over the place while dancing, and also being able to sing pitch perfect at full volume? Here's an expirement for you to try: Try to run around for half an hour and dance, while singing pitch perfect at full volume at the same time. I guarantee you, that you won't be able to pull it off for even a minute...

People hate on Halftime Shows every year. The reason we notice it is because people with negative comments will always release poison in social media so the hate seems bigger than it actually is.
Most of the time I’ve noticed the hate either comes from it being boring or cringe. I don’t remember watching the 2018 halftime show or seeing reactions to it. Seeing it now for the first time...it’s pretty decent honestly. The 2019 halftime show on the other hand deserves all hate coming it’s way. It was absolutely awful.

The first song "Filthy" actually sounds like that on the record. the backing track is way too high in volume. I turn it off when it comes on the radio bc it just sounds like noise. I still dont know what hes singing about

I didn't like the start of the performance but I loved the rest of the show! It was a great setlist and I love how Justin paid tribute to Prince, Prince didn't like people covering his work so Justin singing along to his voice and being respectful was perfect. Overall a great job, don't know why people are complaining tbh.

Production wise it was great... Could barely hear him sing tho... and he's so focused on dancing but the medley was so good! JT could have done better but we as viewers can't expect perfection everytime an artist goes on the halftime show... we put so much pressure on them that we forget they are also humans... I think we should all appreciate the effort and the dedication they brought to make this happen... to make all the superbowl halftime shows happen! I see nothing wrong about the Prince tribute... he sounded good in that duet... spreading love to everyone 😙😊

I liked the tribute to Prince. One of the most underrated musical artists of the 1900s and till now. He wrote, played all instruments and sang, recorded his first album. How many so called artists are doing that now?
