Cartoon Network does deserve credit for really introducing anime to western culture at a young age. A lot of us may not have realized we were watching anime at the time when we were watching dbz and Naruto on Toonami, but looking back that was my first introduction to anime. Not only that but pokemon, Bakugan, and Yugioh are straight-up anime that they would show during the day.

Cartoon Network - best cartoons
Nickelodeon - best sitcoms
Disney - best movies
Valid but Sitcoms is definitely between Nick or Disney. (Suite Life, Wizards of Waverly Place, Thats So Raven vs ICarly, Drake and Josh, Victorious, etc)
SpongeBob is the goat lol
its a tough one - CN introduced Anime to a western audience, Disney definitely had the best movies, but i think Nick had the most iconic shows

@Pro gaming I think Nick is the worst now but I think Cartoon Network fell much further
@🎄Pro chistmas Gaming🎄 nigga Nike?
Nah Nick did, CN has adult swim/toonami at least.
Unfortunately, this is probably true. For me, it started to fall off when 2 things happened: 1. Toonami was no longer on weekdays, 2. The tried to implement live action stuff…. On a channel that says “CARTOON NETWORK”!
There’s nothing I love to see more than a group of adult men arguing over which children network has the best children shows
Toonami was a part of Adult Swim which was the Adult Part of Cartoon Network so TECHNICALLY.... Cartoon Network was the best lmao
Toonami was not a part of Adult Swim back then, Toonami only became a part of Adult swim recently when it was revived in 2012 but before that both Adult Swim and Toonami where aired separately, but your right Adult Swim should have been counted here If toonami was since both of these blocks where still technically part of Cartoon Network as a whole.
I only say not because it was developed by Cartoon Network. Like everything on them other shows was their own creations, but CN didn’t create their own anime’s .
Agreed
Zavon Sharp but there the reason most people love anime and seen anime in the west
Disney - movies
CN - variety
Nickelodeon - My Childhood.
No CN is the greatest.

The boomerang bumper theme will always be a mark to my childhood always waking up in the middle of the night and seeing that brings so much nostalgia.
1. Cartoon Network - Mostly All Cartoon by heart and less live-action. Variety of awesome shows personally from Regular Show, Adventure Time, Ed Edd n Eddy, KND, Johnny Bravo, Courage, Billy and Mandy, Fosters, Dexter, PPG, etc. Granted, Toonami and Adult Swim are apart of the channel block, it counts as personally as it's own separate things considering the anime, etc.
2. Nickelodeon - They were a close competition with Cartoon Network with the cartoons and had variety as well but also had some dope Live-Action that was well-received from Drake and Josh, ICarly, Victorious, Amanda Show, All That, Kenan and Kel, etc. As for the cartoons that was hot fire, it was Spongebob (especially the early years), Fairy Oddparents (early years), Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, Rocket Power, Ren and Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Arnold, CatDog, Angry Beavers, etc. Reason why it's 2nd for me is because it kind of fell off around 2008 personally and Cartoon Network personally was on it's last legs with Adventure Time and my all-time favorite, Regular Show.
3. Disney - They were going in with the cartoons, live action, and movies altogether but honestly they were lit. I only watched few animated shows at best from Phineas and Ferb, Kim Possible, Recess, Proud Family and that was practically it really for me. As for live action shows, it was Zack and Cody (and On Deck), Hannah Montana, That's So Raven, Cory in the House, and Wizards of Waverly Place. Original Movies I felt established the original movie trend for other channels because not only they provided those in theaters but also on television as well equally I would say. But why it's last is because they're weren't as much animated shows for me compared to Cartoon Network and Nick.
So true

Bro that opening slapped as well
Ben 10 is CN's G.O.A.T for me.
Ben 10 was my show in the 2000s
This has always been one of the hardest topics for me to discuss because you have to be very precise with how you decide which of the channels was the overall best. I like to rank them based off 3 categories and I exclude movies and late time networks like adult swim and Nick @ nite from the discussion because they were separate networks and only Disney and Nick made ORIGINAL movies. Also anime may have been on the channel Cartoon Network but they were shown on adult swim so they don’t count. The three categories are Peak prime, Longevity and Number of hit shows.
First off is longevity, now in my opinion Disney wins in this area. They had great shows for a solid 20 plus years from the early to mid 90’s all the way until 2016 or so.
Next is number of hit shows and I believe Cartoon Network wins this category hands down. They had an endless amount of great TV shows for ppl to watch for 15-20 years. Hit for hit they easily beat Disney and Nick.
Now for the hardest category, peak prime. I believe all three channels peak primes were in the 2000’s. Of course each channels peak didn’t start and end at the same time. I believe Disney’s prime ran the entire 2000’s and into the early 2010’s but their peak during that time was definitely 02-09. Everything was practically perfect on the channel from the shows to the movies and even the specials. Imo Cartoon Networks peak was from 1998 all the way until 07. They were perfect for almost 10 years and it’s reasonable to even say from 98 all the way to 2010 was CN’s peak. They had the longest running peak I’ve ever seen from one channel. Last but definitely not least, Nickelodeon. Their peak went from 2000-08. Like Cartoon Network, Nicks peak almost went for 10 years and they had a perfect balance of cartoons and live action shows. The best out of the three channels imo.
When it comes to who had the best peak prime I have to give it to Cartoon Network because there’s was the longest.
In conclusion the best channel from our childhoods is NONE of them. It’s all objective, everyone has their own valid opinion and reasons for choosing any of the three channels as the best. I personally don’t have a favorite because I loved them all so much.
Forgot one of the most goated shows on Cartoon Network Tom&jerry and forgot looney toons too😭😭😭
Tragic. 😭
They was so stacked
ED EDD N EDDY, Monster House, Camp Lazlo, Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Billy and Mandy, Flintstones etc. When it comes down to cartoons n movies I have Cartoon Net. winning lol but Nickelodeon had some great original shows too plus spongebob is still poppin to this day. Then Disney was a great combination of both movies and cartoons. It’s really complicated to choose one over the other... Shit Animal Planet w/ Steve Irwin was a hit to me growing up😂r.i.p.🙏🏽
Its not complicated. They all was GREAT like im so blessed to have all 3 IN THEY PRIME im sooo so so blessed. But at the end of the day Cartoon Network got that no contest. No debate. But like i said they all played a huge role in my upbringing i would never disrespect Nick it was ALL THAT, i would neva disrespect Disney either but facts is facts.

@@nathanmorton7728 that shit went hard 💯
What!? Damn bruh! You definitely missed the 90s Nickelodeon. Now that’s where it was at! Head to head Cartoon Network and nick for me.
Team CN for life! Based on your description "which channel had the best lineup," Toonami and Adultswim count because they are definitely a part of CN's lineup. Let's not forget that Adultswim is more than Family Guy. It has original content such as Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law, SeaLab 2021, Venture Brothers, Boondocks, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and so on. Toonami also has non-anime shows like Batman the Animated Series (which originally ran on fox), Megas XLR and for some time they ran Symbiotic Titan. The latter two had the makings of iconic shows but were canceled before their time. CN missed out on two more hits when they canceled those shows. Overall, CN wins due to their insane lineup. It appealed to a wider audience; may they be anime lovers, fans of adult animated comedies or shows that think outside of the box/ follows its own unique formula (e.g., Samurai Jack). I really enjoyed watching you guys' trip down memory lane. Great video!

How y'all miss Total Drama Island?!!
Yes, that was around the start of the modern CN era but the concept of an animated game show was pretty good. Also, I want to see y'all do this Saturday Morning Cartoons like Jetix, 4kids, KidsWB, and more cause this brought back good ass memories.

Everybody got a role, y’all inspiration for African American dreamers, keep doing big things RDC ♥️
The old Cartoon Network, hands down. Their Cartoon Cartoons (and original cartoons) were great with Dexter’s Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Ed Edd n Eddy, Courage, Billy and Mandy, KND, Foster’s, and Flapjack; they had Toonami bringing anime to the west with DBZ, Sailor Moon, Gundam, and action cartoons in general; they originally appreciated their creations with the likes of the Cartoon Theatre, Tex Avery Show, June Bugs, and even playing Studio Ghibli’s films. And then the commercials where the characters interacted with each other was great.
They started to fall off when they tried to implement the live action crap in the mid 00’s, but started to come back with Adventure Time, Regular Show, and other shows like that. However, CN couldn’t keep up the momentum.
Now, they’re just a husk of what they are and it’s sad…. 😢
