I was given the chance to interview KRplus Ceo Susan Wojcicki earlier this year. I was allowed to ask her ANY QUESTION I wanted and believe me I pulled no punches. I asked Susan all the things I've waited years to ask and today I wanted to share it with you. Takes notes 60-minutes, *THIS* is how you do an interview. Pat hit her hard with questions that were rough, but worded very fairly. He conducted himself with very friendly and inviting body language and didn't make her feel alienated. Fantastic work, Pat. Keep it up.

she sounds just like my boss... always dodgy and a semi politician speech that tries to wrap you around and make you feel your question was answered at the time, but the more you think of it the more you realize it was all just a non explanatory belly rub.

I've seen a lot of interviews like this where the interviewer is afraid to ask hard questions for fear of repercussions. I'm glad that Matt held nothing back; answers are a valuable thing.

Matpat really knows how to make someone uncomfortable by making them comfortable.
His opening question was brilliant to set the stage of what was to come. I'd hate to say he "left a trap", but it was very well executed to get all his pieces in place so to speak.

and then Susan goes "Yeah, so-"

And then Susan is in a bit of the predicament like 'Shoot, I'm gonna look bad'

I mean, he said he himself was surprised that Susan's team let him ask "some" of the questions in the first place, hence implying that he had far more aggressive and ousting questions that would further embarrass her.
I want this lady to actually answer a question instead of talk about how “great” her platform is. She failed to admit major flaws in the system that Mat asked about.

You don't get to talk about that stuff publicly as the CEO of a company like KRplus. Alphabet is a really important stock in a lot of investors' and fund managers' portfolios. The employees of Alphabet Inc now have a fiduciary duty to do everything that they can to boost that stock price for the investors.
She'd possibly be down to discuss these things behind closed doors with signed NDAs in place but she'd have to be a moron to publicly acknowledge that there are ongoing threats to the business and she has to act like KRplus is completely on top of any issues.
Sorry, this is how capitalism works right now.

It's honestly worse if it wasn't a blatant lie. It would mean they would be manually checking and approving bullshit demonitization to a degree where it looks like a bot only.
I don't think she ever said that on here. Demonetization has always been automated, however in recent times demonetization is barely as big a problem anymore due to their updates to the algorithm. Basically the more times it recognizes the claim was false, the more careful it will be about demonetizing you. Not only that but some creators are currently testing the option of just manually deciding (of course there is a system to check if it is a blatant lie)
its interesting towards the end when matpat was talking about billie eilish's verification and saying celebs and creators are treated differently and was sitting there all fine and realized, oh wait, i should probably deny that and *then* pitched in denying

If that happened that:
- Would be impossible to cover up.
- Could cause an uprising in a large section of the gaming community, with potential online riots/boycotts.
- Could cause any company that wants to successfully be like KRplus to rise in popularity if MatPat agrees to work with said company.
- Would give MatPat an easier chance to explain how he feels about KRplus, which wouldn't be beneficial to Susan since MatPat's fanbase is more logical in their information-gathering/decision-making.
That's why she basically dug herself a substantial, non-removable grave by letting him set this meeting up since deleting it or forcing him to would make her actions shine the brightest xD

@@Hadeks_Marow If you think about it, if MatPat was not being to aggressive and trying to dig for answers, because (1) He was aware that he only had 30minutes, (2) it wouldn't encourage productive dialogue. He didn't want to turn this interview into an outlet for him to vent about his frustration, but rather to get answers, so good job to MatPat

this is what I was going to comment on. UP UNTIL this point, Susan thought that the gamers were beholden onto KRplus. Her bubble kind of popped when she realized Gamers are willing to leave youtube. And through out the video Matt pointed out the success of gaming, so if gaming content leaves I wonder where that leaves youtube.

She was being very dodgy she didn’t answer the answer directly she brought up things that weren’t exactly tied to the conversation and a lot of what she said were bs it was partly her fault also the team she works with cause gamers are still being attacked so now other gaming platforms are more useful for me rather than KRplus like Logan Paul is still making videos he’s still making money and Jake Paul’s channel is still up and other KRplusrs who have negative impact on young viewers who target children and they aren’t stopped but gamers we have to label videos are either child friendly or not and strict rules are pushed much more on us and I feel that KRplus abandoned us quite a long while ago to let so many accounts on this channel is an issue

KRplus is aiming for a larger general audience and trying not to segregate the core as much as possible.

Well I’m about ten minutes (around 5 questions in) I feel like I’ve learned nothing. She’s like Aaron Burr in Hamilton. She’s trying to keep her opinions vague without people noticing and failing miserably.
