The trailers from the Paranormal Activity movies usually consist of clips that didn't appear in the movie yet nobody cared about that.
That's called CGI. It's an ad, ads are usually CGI. Gameplay trailers are what is supposed to show actual gameplay.
Madgegames Because that's highly different. Game trailers show either actual gameplay, which can be used as evidence of fraud or some other rendered material, which does not have to be in the game.

As a major Sims fan since the beginning, I can honestly say that I'm extremely disappointed with all of the features that have been completely cut from the game of Sims 4. I'm no longer even excited for the game because the only reason I'd buy it is because I've played the rest of the franchise.
In Sims 3, there were a lot of features cut that I really missed, but there were some features to make up for that. However, Sims 4 is looking like having emotions is supposed to make up for all the missing features. No pools? No toddlers? Teens and adults look identical? No create a style? No open world? Not as many lots? Loading screens between lots? No rabbit holes? Come on, guys. What are you doing to us?!
On a note about open world: the whole reason I avoided Sims 3 on the Xbox and went straight for PC (besides the fact I'm more of a PC gamer) is because it was open world and didn't have horrendous loading times between lots (and let's face it, Sims always has ridiculously long loading screens).

I'd rather see my Sims go to work and school but apparently (but don't quote me on this), there are going to be no school or work buildings and some careers have even been cut.

I was skeptical of the sims 4 and then I saw the thumbnail for this. I literally have no reason to buy it now.

Yeah I saw that video too. Very disappointing. I'm going to wait till a month of reviews are out. It seems from that video, EA promised a lot of stuff from their trailers but it wasn't delivering exactly as how they portrayed it.
AlousBayla that was a very persuasive and subjective article. i am never played the Sims game before, but i am interested in buying this game and what i believe in is tell me pros and cons after u have played the game because people's opinions easily influence you. there are so many theories (both good and bad) and most do not have justifying proof. Therefore give me an objective opinion (article) and enough proof and i will take your word on it
stephieisawesome3150 Yeah, that's true. But a lot of this stuff I've seen for myself. When they stream so many glitches pop up and they try and act like nothing happened. Players from creators camp have been reporting clipping and glitches too, but they figured since that was a beta version then it would be fixed in the final game. That isn't looking to be true. I'll probably still get the game but I've already seen enough to be a bit disappointed.

I don't understand the point of pushing the whole "Weird" aspect. You can get weird with your Sims on any of the previous titles. And maybe some of us don't always want our Sim stories to be weird, some of us like the whole "real life" aspect. You know, with toddlers... but anyways I'm not going to jump on this train quite yet. I'll wait for reviews and more game play videos after the official release and then I'll make my decision. I love the create a Sim and I love how the build mode looks, it's the actually life part I'm not sure about. I just think their marketing strategies are horrendous and need improvement.

Agree, I would love to have a more normal living sims (except when I play sims makin magic), but i was so disappoint when they eliminate the normal job. But anyway, I still gonna try the game too. Maybe it'll be fun.

The sims has gone from being completely serious, to something only a toddler would laugh at. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that it's not 100% serious, but they need to find some middle ground.
And don't worry everyone, those missing features from 3 will most likely be on one of the 100 DLC they release.

Tom Riddle Actually he didn't. For it to be a rabbit hole you need to be able to see the building at least. In Sims 4, your sim just goes offscreen from your lot, kinda like Sims 2.
Tom Riddle There's no rabbit holes, it's like the old games where they disappear when they leave the lot. No open world, everything is a loading screen. That's what he meant.
Tom Riddle lol I think they mean that they went back to The Sims 2 formula for that kind of thing. Kind of like the neighborhood thing on there. neighborhoods are like Sims 3 where you can go anywhere, but once you start going to places like parks & stuff like that, it goes through a loading screen like Sims 2. When you go to work or school, they just disappear like on Sims 2 as well. Hope I explained it well enough & didn't confuse you. If I did, I apologize. =)
I guess I am not the only one sort of bothered by the narrator's voice, I don't like it, but it's not like I much care about it.
Anyways, I am planning to carry on playing the sims 3 , In the sims 4 I am mostly interested in the build mode. Also, I want to have some cc ready when I get the game, so I will wait for a bit, see other people play it, before I decide to get it or not. But in all honesty, I really feel kinda bad for all the cut features.
Sure! The new soms are more emotional and intuitive and so alive, but be honest here, do you really care at all about looking at your sims or other sims sround town and seeing them walk in a certain waybto determine if they are happy or not? I couldn't care less, mostly cause this whole emotion thing is supposed to compensate for all the missing features. I am sure I will enjoy the sims 4 eitherway, but I am very much against playing a game that seems to be "crippled" and half finished.

And to those who say they will pirate the game, good for you... As if EA can care less about your pirating, probably one in 100 sims players have pirated their "copy" of the game, and this franchise sells so damn well,

I was just flicking through and people are saying about emotions being pointless. I see it this way- a human is mostly controlled by emotions. It effects what they are doing and how they act, this is shown in TS4. I love the new emotions personally! I would like toddlers back, but I have my fingers crossed ☺

Everyone is saying it's a terrible game and all that crap but I have the game and I honestly love it! They don't have toddlers or pools of course, which is the main thing here that people are getting mad about. That's one little thing so stop your complaining and grow up! Remember when the sims 3 came out? Remember how everyone was complaining to and then loved it? I joined sims lovers by free play and bought sims 4 a bit late. I have watched MULTIPLE things on the sims 3 and am a bit upset at the hate TS4 has gotten because of a new missing things. WHO CARES? It was revealed that it is very rare for that to happen and most of the time you'll have to force it. So, you shouldn't be to concerned about that unless you just get a little unlucky with it. But what's the chances of that! :)

If you don't like The Sims 4 so much, why don't you forget about it and move on? A lot of people really DO want this game, and some (like me) don't mind the changes they took out. I've looked at the list of things that aren't present in 4 that is in 3, and the vast majority of them I can seriously deal without. This is also my opinion, which is another benefactor to why I will be getting the sims 4. If you don't like it, then don't get the damn thing. Stop bitching about how, to you, it's going to be a "bad game." You aren't paying for it and installing it on my computer and taking up hard drive space, I am.

They're disappointed at the game, when this game could have had the potential of being the best sims game to date. Comparing all of the Sims base games, sims 4 took out the most features. Sims 2 offered new 3d graphics that were ground breaking, sims 3 had a new open world, sims 4 has multi tasking? Update on my comment: I got the game and it exceeded my expectations. The stuff that was removed from the game was barely noticeable except family trees and open world. I didn't really even mind that toddlers and pools are gone. So I was wrong and you were right.

In sims 3 generations, Npc could send their children to a babysitters house for daycare and pick them up later , what if that could be in hone base game of sims 4. And putting your kids up for adoption

People need to realize that this A entirely new game, it isn't supposed to be a sequel or an upgrade from sims3. i remember how much hate the sims 3 got but that game ended up amazing, I was mad that you couldn't beg the grim reaper to bring back your loved ones like in the sims 2, i was also mad that the ghost weren't scary and your sim couldn't be scared to death by the ghost like in the sims 2 and that you couldn't go to stores to shop for clothes and that grocery stores were rabbit holes, but the sims 3 ended up amazing and i love it . And if you don't like it, then don't buy it, its as simple as that, if you think sims 3 is better, then continue playing sims3. You don't have to buy the sims 4 no one is forcing you, and if you willing come to the sim 4 videos JUST to make a negative comment, then seriously, get a life

The Sims 2 will always be the best game. It was great because it maintained what made The Sims great, but fixed a lot of its limitations (children and adults not aging was the biggest one). The Sims 3 was a huge letdown, and the Sims 4 will be no different.
Also, the fact that you need to buy hundreds of dollars worth of content to actually do anything in the game is bullshit. I'm surprised that so many people are willing to spend hundreds of dollars on a fucking computer game which isn't really any better than the 2nd title.

They're killing me with this "weird" stuff, its getting old, -__- the whole point of weird stories is that you don't shove it down our throats in every trailer, you let us experience it ourselves so we can enjoy that element of surprise, and the game really isn't even that weird, I haven't seen aliens, vampires, simbots. All I see is sims laughing themselves to death but they already showed us that a million times so what fun is it gonna be when we see it in the actual game. we got ours two days ago and already are having so many issues with freezing up or the game not saving the clothes we put the sims in. two days of game play three families later and nothing saved!! and also it seems that you can't open the game without being signed in to "origin" my daughter tried to play it offline and it would not even open!! is that the way its supposed to work?
