He rebel(Rang)because he abandon him once because of her,he just can't do it twice. He is his family. This just in my view. But doesn't mean he abandon Ji Ah,he had a planned for sure.
It was my happiest moment of the day when Yeon decided to chose his brother. 1) It is so cute, cus I want Rang to be a good person who admits he loves his brother. 2) This gives an opportunity for some fine, hot-ass evil man to meet the female-lead. Every episode is just awesome storytelling!!! Ep 8 midpoint of the story is so on point! Can't wait for ep 9 - I love the brothers!! But if Ji Ah has the Imugi blood I've always seen Rang's attack on Yeon as a test that he better choose to let her go time and time again because it's her fate.
Awaiting to see the script on why he chose his brother. In my opinion, he never abandoned neither of them (Rang & Ji Ah). But he also knew that Imoogi wants Ji Ah and will always put her & his brother in danger to provoke him, as he wouldn’t hesitate to harm or kill Rang but wouldn’t do same to Ji Ah. I won’t be surprised if this isn’t the first time Imoogi threatened Yeon using Rang. Maybe that was why he lost Rang after Ji Ah died in her previous life!
