    Green Knight (2021) by the director David Lowery.
    DOP: Andrew Droz Palermo
    Music: "Now I'm Ready, I'm Ready Now" from movie's OST by Daniel Hart
    ---
    An epic fantasy adventure based on the timeless Arthurian legend, "The Green Knight" tells the story of Sir Gawain (Dev Patel), King Arthur's reckless and headstrong nephew, who embarks on a daring quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic emerald-skinned stranger and tester of men. Gawain contends with ghosts, giants, thieves, and schemers in what becomes a deeper journey to define his character and prove his worth in the eyes of his family and kingdom by facing the ultimate challenger. From visionary filmmaker David Lowery comes a fresh and bold spin on a classic tale from the knights of the round table.
    --
    SIR GAWAIN AND THE GREEN KNIGHT
    "The green knight on his ground graciously stands:
    with a little lean of the head, flesh he uncovers;
    his long lovely locks he laid over his crown,
    and let the naked neck to the stroke show.
    Gawain gripped his axe and glanced it on high,
    his left foot on the field before him he set,
    letting it down lightly light on the naked,
    that the sharp of the steel sundered the bones,
    and sank through the soft flesh, sliced it in two,
    that the blade of the bright steel bit in the ground.
    The fair head from the frame fell to the earth,
    that folk flailed it with their feet, where it forth rolled;
    the blood burst from the body, the bright on the green.
    Yet nevertheless neither falters nor falls the fellow,
    but stoutly he started forth on strong shanks,
    and roughly he reached out, where the ranks stood,
    latched onto his lovely head, and lifted it so;
    and then strode to his steed, the bridle he catches,
    steps into stirrup and strides him aloft,
    and his head by the hair in his hand holds.
    and as steady and staunch him in his saddle sat
    as if no mishap had him ailed, though headless now
    instead.
    He twined his trunk about,
    that ugly body that bled;
    many of him had doubt,
    ere ever his speech was said."

    It will never cease to blow my mind when I see the traction this scene has gotten 😅 I'm the giant who interacts with Dev Patel and the fox, and does the howling thing. I've never considered myself an actress or anything, but there was a public call for extras who wouldn't mind having their heads shaved (I had already had my head shaved for about a year), and my friend suggested it to me. I applied not thinking I'd get through.
    Near all of us recorded this scene, i had no idea that my take would be used in the film.
    Thank you all x

    He wanted to take the easy path by standing on the shoulders of giants as he has always done, but was forced (begrudgingly) to walk in their footsteps instead. The weird turn of the camera angle seems to indicate that when he chooses to walk in their footsteps (the upright path of adversity) then his world will be turned upside, but at the same time set upright as a Knight's path should be.
