For the air conditioning, you should get an electric compressor. Put it anywhere in the car and also no parasitic loss to horsepower. In fact, the entire system could be put at the front of the car to help balance the extra weight of the LS. Just get one of those evaporators people retrofit into classic cars since your dash is all gone anyway.

Your situation with programming keys is quite tough.
You are in what is called an 'all keys lost' situation. Most VAG key programming tools (including standard dealer online pairing procedure) require ignition, which you don't have due to lost keys.
The only option as far as I know is to reach out to a car key shop that has access to Auro OtoPro IM600 or Autel IM608 tools. They have full recent model Audi key programming capabilities (Huracan is mostly an R8 in different skin). Drawback is that this programming can only be done by connecting directly to microchips on the control unit (requires disassembly of dash/ecu).

Yeah galvanic corrosion is pretty slow, but we're talking about months and not years, especially on bolts. That's the main cause of bolts heads breaking on airplanes, when the surfaces are not properly isolated. I'm working for an aircraft maintenance company and we see that relatively often.

As much as I love b is for build, the way he spoke of it seemed a little condescending when people are only trying to help him out. We're talking about engine mounts on what is going to be a very high horsepower build, he should be doing everything in his power to prevent the corrosion even if it's a relatively slow process, else one day he's going to do a pull and cause the engine mounts to rip straight out, which will be a fun video to see for my own entertainment personally.

Honestly, it's not worth the headache to keep the stock ecu and dash display. It's going to be a nightmare to blend the stock ecu setup with the Haltech. Otherwise youll have to hack the nuetral saftey switch and deal with issues relating to anti-theft ignition issues.
Id suggest retrofitting Haltech's digital dash display to the stock location. You'll have to wire the starter direct to a relay and then to the huracan switch. If you do want a key, you can use a universal FM transmitter key for protection that can be wired between.
The factory BCM will function like normal through the mmi.
And the piece at the steering wheel you're referring to is the clockspring. It transmits signals from each button to talk to the bcm for commands by use of (-) negative resistance.

Yea, corrosion between aluminium and steel isn't a massive problem. Used to do karting, the rear axle is steel. The hubs are aluminium. Even if the kart sat for 2 months with nothing moving, all that would be needed was a light tap and the hubs would be free again. Would usually hit the axle with a scotchbrite pad too, just to knock any little imperfections down. But it was never a problem.

B is for Build, I have seen what steel touching aluminum can do. Seriously, can better gaskets. It does corrode.

  • @andreikozhukhar5097

In the aluminum cross support, where you bolted down the front portion of the engine mount, weld in two sleeves to reinforce it. The support by itself is hollow and as you will torque down the bolts the cross support will collapse. You won't be able to torque those bolts good enough.

It would be weird for texasspeed to send the wrong intake manifold when they're actually building the engine. So what I'm hoping is that they're gonna put modified heads with squareports on his built 6.0, maybe. I dunno just guessing.

The F body camaro (99-2006) AC pump mounts low on the passenger side and would be a perfect fit for you engine bay. Its the one all the RX7 v8 swapers use. So there is a lot of aftermarket support for that pump.

28:20 Anyone else put together that where the "new engine mounts" bolt to the subframe that they ran bolts through tube with no support inside the tube. Frame tubing should be sleeved for the bolts so when you tighten them its going to cave in. When you drop the clutch on a twin turbo LS that left side is gonna rip right through that allyuminium.

Cars today are negative earth. Earth being where the electrons go. In cars the positive terminal is the source of electrons, which is contrary to battery diagrams from your chemistry class (or physics class). So you should disconnect the red, positive terminal.
