- So back in February I decided to follow up my other explorations of the Wish site with a deep dive into their inexpensive & counterfeit makeup.... little did I know it would take me until May to actually get all of it! I bought a full face of cheap makeup from Wish to see what it would be like, and also stumbled upon a few fake makeup items like fake Fenty foundation and fake CoverFX highlighter! What do you think? That’s how selling websites work basically such as eBay, etsy, wish etc but wish titles are to detailed and so on for example eBay titles with good key words: new momoland hand signed “great” album photo cards included, wish titles; new unopened momoland kpop girl group formed in Korea “ great”album sealed photo cards photos, poster and coaster

One tip when buying Chinese made makeup, go for the stuff made for their market. It's usually much higher quality. So if it has English written on the product or packaging, that's what you don't want.

You're brave. I wouldn't be putting anything from Wish on my face. I ordered eyeshadow from a Ali Express once and ended up with an eye infection that left my partially blind in my left eye. Never again. I'm terrified to even wear normal makeup these days.

When using the wish app, I found you can get «points» by leaving reviews. Getting points give you a discount. So I believe people just leave reviews to get cheaper products themselves (even though they haven’t tried the product they’re reviewing)
I've never gotten points for leaving a review, which I do on every product I purchase to video and produce YT Wish haul for other channels. Thousands of products. Stop passing along rumours.

it's not a "rumor" lol. the wish app literally says so. The person didn't lie, it's wish who is lying, but they DO SAY that u get points for leaving reviews.
I do get some points when I leave a review or when I buys certain items, but I can only review products that I purchased after I say they arrived.They'll sometimes ask if I have the product yet and then ask for a review. Often you don't have time to test the product when you review and you can only review when they ask if it was delivered. Strangely not every product I recieved asks for review.

That website is scary. I think a few of the reviews are paid for. Although that one gal who gave it one star, said she hasn't tried it but loves it should probably get a raise. LOL.
One more thing: Aside from the oil, your complexion is outstanding. I could not see dark circles (a staple of mine), a lot of red blotches, or your face looking totally different without makeup. I see no fine lines whatsoever(another fun fact of my face), or even short eyelashes. So, ninety-five or more percent perfect. Don't order Wish products anymore so you can stay that way. :0)

Yeah but there are laws that limits how much of that bad stuff can be in there because in little concentration they are not that harmful
they also require that all cosmetics are tested on animals. So bad stuff is happening to furry creatures, even if it is safe or not for our faces.

With the mention you made that some of these makeup products may contain toxic chemicals it would be interesting if you did a series where you actually tested some of these in a lab as to their contents. I would love to see what some of these strong smelling cosmetics contained.

It would have been interesting if you sent samples of these off to a lab and saw what actually was in them
I noticed another comment where people were saying that component tests are done on animals... that's not true, right?
No it would be chemical analysis they would process the samples through specific machines which can analyse properties such as absorbency of light in order to find out which chemicals are in them including metals such as mercury or toxins or faecal matter
Also as a side note animal testing is unfortunately mandatory for many things such as discovering new antibiotics, every single batch of Botox is tested on animals as well as mab products all of which help to improve and save lives (unless Botox cosmetically used)
I envy the animals getting free botox. That stuff is expensive.
It would definitely be full of bad stuff - so many people have tested them.

@@meghanstanley1765 Yeah prostate exams would feel sucky but they start much older than pap smears for women and there definitely needs to be adaptations to pap smears for women with vaginismus or other issues with similar or worse symptoms. Pap smears are much more complicated for those of us with vaginismus, and for women who have conditions with similar or worse symptoms

And it's not like the companies are going to make an ingredient list that writes, "Aqua, paint thinner, colouring, mica glitter, cat poop, and stabiliser"..... So you'll never really know what you're putting on your face.
I bet they're not even real companies, just random chinese factories that decided to make some junk makeup to sell to chumps like us. These are not legit companies and brands, just made up words like "Sunjoe Power Washers", ""PuTwo Makeup Organizers", "InnoGear Essential Oil Diffusers". mindy ogle I think that they probably manufacture the products in unsanitary conditions and that how they have traces of poop in them rather than them actually putting poop in there intentionally. Imagine whoever is mixing the formula not wearing gloves or wearing the gloves to the bathroom etc.
