Although they hurt sometimes, we deal with them for several days of the month, boys dont. It is perfectly normal. Please respect a womens need and non-choice to be fertile.

Not only is Safiya totally awesome about telling 3.2 million people about her period, but Tyler is fucking awesome by not being even slightly phased by chatting about this, and getting text reminds of his girlfriend's period time. I feel like for the cost, these are really a failure of a product. Given they're sold as yoga/workout pants for wearing on your period, things like *bodies moving into different positions* should be accounted for in the design. Honestly though, as someone with a heavy flow, I could already tell from the pointed front shape of that gusset that it wouldn't work for me.
I feel like these things are all designed for people with unusually light periods only.

I agree. These pants could never work for me. I have to change my pad 4-6 times a day for the first 3 days. I could never stay fresh in these pants without washing them every few hours.
I think these might be designed to be accompanied with a tampon. Somewhat like "panty liner leggings."

I ended up finding out I have PCOS and now I suffer from really bad pain when I have my period or just pain if a cyst bursts which can actually make you physically ill. Thankfully, birth control pills work to keep some of the symptoms regulated.

Here’s a tip. When you leak through ANYTHING, quickly take whatever it is off, and put peroxide on it, and leave it sit with the peroxide for like 10-15 mins and rinse it out. If it doesn’t work the blood was on too long.
You can also use white wine if easier

I think she doesn't have very painful periods. For example, my period is a dream pf every woman. It's totally painless, no cramps, I'm doing all kinds of sports during my period, including roller skating and horse riding :)

Hi Safiya, I’m so glad you’re not afraid to talk about and review menstrual products as there’s so much negativity towards menstruating in general and being hushed about it. We all (women) go through it month to month and struggle with things such as PMS and pain and the things such as period leggings could genuinely help us through it.

I think if instead of yoga pants having a gusset that is not wide enough and shifts they should sew some kind of leak proof panty so they could make the gusset area larger and we wouldn't see the stitches on the crotch or but area

I feel like these leggings would be great for strenuous workouts or long/all day activities WITH a tampon, so you don’t have to worried about wearing a liner. So it’s like extra coverage that you can’t see.
I’m rewatching these period videos, and it’s reminding me of my first period. I got it the evening before I had a big swim meet in another country, so I would be away from home overnight, and worse, be swimming. I went off with my pads feeling confident… until I jumped in the water and realised pads and water doesn’t mix well. So I tried to figure things out, had a few accidents, until I finally asked one of the older girls for a tampon. I went to the toilet and really tried to make it work, but it was one of those without an applicator, so I didn’t get it in properly. Spent the rest of the day in pain and found out how miraculous tampons with applicators are. So from the first day of my first period I used tampons, until I shifted to a cup a few years ago. And I’ve never gotten to like pads… the memory of a chlorine soaked pad is still with me

IDEA: Wear a different vintage period product everyday by decade! Like day 1 the 30’s, day 2 40’s, day 3 50’s, and so on. I thought it would be cool because you have the “I dressed like it was 19_7” series so it could kinda relate to your period product series? Like if you think Saf should try it!!

The only problem is, between 1930 and 1970, period products were mainly limited to pads secured with a belt you wore around your waist. They don't even make them anymore. By 1970 it was adhesive pads, in 1980 tampons came out. That's it. Nothing special. Btw, I'm 49 so I have some experience.
