It's insane how you do these really technical and demanding jobs in a small garage with no lift, while some other youtubers have these fancy and shiny facilities but don't do anything remotely as demanding as you do.

it's because he cuts corners wherever possible, and doesn't do a good job with most things. pulling a subframe isn't very difficult, but i honestly wouldn't trust one that he's done.

I use wooden dowels that help to align the bolt holes in the sub-frame as you raise your jack. I find that if i can get them close, i can usually wiggle the dowels on the bottom to move it while someone jacks, and the sub-frame just crawls up and into its spot. You could use metal rods, but i use wood just in case something goes wrong I do not damage any parts. I am sure there are better tools out there, but why buy when a dowel works just fine. Good job!

@Legendary Games Not kinda, it was totaled. Car got crashed, insurance totaled car then sold it at auction. that's how almost all the cars he has built have started as.

I have been working on cars for 40 years and that is the wildest transaxle setup I have ever seen .But it makes sense because it puts a lot of weight in the back.I did not know how those cars are built.
Much respect to ya for the re-build - your a brave man to take on such a massive job. Brilliant channel... be curious to know how many total hours u spend on each rebuild... but I’m guessing u might have it at the end of each re build. Keep up the good work
That is a huge project. My Mercedes was involved in a hit and run in the back. Replaced subframe car drives like new.

The best tool when trying to align big parts are those round pry bars (Harbor Freight 60674 or similar)... jam them through the bolt holes and you can leverage parts into alignment to get them bolted up in no time.
Good job on the subframe. Did you have any luck getting the inner panels for the drivers side of the trunk floor. To be able to do a really good job you will need them. Great build thanks for posting!

That is a MASSIVE transmission! Holy jesus is that thing huge!
There are these things called Jack Stands and Wood Blocks. You lift the car put some jack stands under it lower the quick jack put in the blocks and lift it up again giving you the extra four or more inches of the wood blocks in height. Even a couple of extra inches can be a great help in removing a transmission when laying on your back.
