She went to a 30 ft deep river with no one but her 4 year old son. It’s also alleged that she left a note to her 4 year old (I don’t know if this is true or not) but things don’t add up. Nya probably already planned this prior to going to the lake. That’s probably why she posted something on Instagram stating everyone dies. Maybe it’s me but she seemed like she had suicidal tendencies.

The edge of the boat is high. It's hard enough to reach out of the water to grab far less lift a wet full sized toddler into the boat. Especially if she had to swim back to the boat that drifted away. Also remember this is a woman in show business she probably was dieting and already in a weakened state with low energy and strength.

I don't know if it was a heroic act. She had to have felt some sort of guilt for bringing him out to a lake that was known for having strong currents. I think any mother would feel obligated to do whatever was necessary to save her child's life. I just wished she had the good sense to put her life jacket on as well, but obviously she didn't think she needed it.

its 2021 now and this video still breaks my heart everytime.
You know the life jacket really makes all of a difference. Used to swim in a very strong current sea playing the jetski and I remember how hard it was to go to the shore. Every time I almost landed, the water kept sucking me back and trapped in the wave but when the wave crashed, in less than two seconds, I was pulled back in the high wave. I was so tired at that time I thought I was just going to give up. But the life jacket I had on kept me afloat and stopped me from drowning and with all the energy I had left I gave one last stroke and finally reached the shore. Needless to say, I was quite scared at that time and was super thankful I made it to the beach. It was only two inches difference.

Decided to dive in to cool off. The shirt got caught on tree branch under water. I could see the surface/daylight thru the murky water but i couldn’t get untangled. Started to panic but somehow was able to break free...

They went out on a windy day so the water was choppy and obviously cold. She would have cold water shock and panic as she would be scared about her son. In my late teens I had such experience when I was out in the middle of water on a lake and I just ran out of stamina, barley made it to the shore it was the one of the most terrifying experience in my life. Death is right at the door. I can only imagine what this poor girl went thru at her last minutes...may she rest in peace.

You dont ever think itll be you and you assume youd just flip over and float on your back or whatever but... it doesnt happen like that. You panic, your heart starts racing within a second, your chest gets heavy like bricks and you begin to breathe rapidly. It's one of the scariest things ever happened to me.. There’s nothing fishy about it even the strongest swimmers can drown this lake is known for having debris and currents that can suck you under. She had been there a lot of times before with no issues so why would she all of a sudden start wearing a life jacket if she’s never had a problem before? This lake has a history of drowning’s including drownings of strong swimmers accidents happen.

I heard the lake has currents in the afternoon and those drag you to the bottom. I used to live by the sea and those were something to watch for (lifeguards would flag them and you we were supposed to stay away from the flagged areas). As a mother I have a ton of respect for her for what she did. The unconditional love you have for your child is like nothing else. I believe she did what all of us mothers would do this just touches my soul on another level. God bless her. What a hero! Her son was blessed to have her in his life. What did she do? How did her son get on the boat and then get off the boat into the water? Or did he not get on the boat and dropped onto the water and that's when she tried to save him? That means that he might have fallen on the dock. It doesn't make sense.
