can we talk about how sweet safiya is? like there are so many youtubers with extreme click-bait titles but when she said they wouldn't stay only in the $5 range she apologized for the "click-bait"

I'd love to see you buy a ton of the supposedly same item but each from a different seller and see if that explains why some people defend the item and some trash it. It almost seems like they're stealing the pic from the original company and making super cheap copies so it would be interesting to see if it's worth trying different seller's and finding a few that do a decent job.

Can I just say...I really appreciate the fact that she actually takes us along with her while buying her stuff online. It's interesting to actually see her pick out the items and get to see the website and such. Most youtubers who would do a haul like this would just show us what they bought, but not actually the process they went through to buy them. Doing this kinda stuff takes a lot of time and editing and I just feel like she posts great content. So yeah thanks Saf :)

Just FYI, you should really wash any clothes you buy before wearing them. Especially from something like wish. You have no idea where those clothes came from or what chemicals may be on them before washing. I’ll admit that I have sensitive skin, but Everytime I have worn clothes straight off the hanger I have gotten a rash. God only knows about the things from wish. Just be careful.

My dad occasionally buys things from wish. One time, he bought this pepper spray that looked kinda like a travel bottle of perfume for my mom to carry in her purse. I did not know of this. When I was cleaning some things up, I saw what I assumed was a bottle of perfume in the place where we usually keep keys. I thought it was probably my moms, and sprayed it at myself to see what the scent was. The scent was pain. I couldn't stop coughing for an hour and anytime I passed my family before I thoroughly showered, they coughed too. I luckily didn't get any in my eyes, but that worked really well. 10/10 would buy
Also, I know that I'm super lucky and this was nowhere near full strength pepper spray, but it would definitely discourage an attacker.

The funny thing is, I literally got that exact see-through black top from Dress Barn about five years ago for a funeral (don't worry, I wore something modest underneath so it was very tasteful.) That's probably why it ended up being the best piece from this entire haul, because it was discarded stock from an actual retailer. It's just weird to see something literally from my closet on a video about $5 outfits from Wish, lol.

Wish is pretty much a hit or miss. I bought a time-turner necklace that was awesome and lasted for years, but then I bought a normal dress and it came toddler-size. Literally. Like Saf said, you just have to trust your gut.

I am currently wearing a top that my mother purchased from wish for me. She bought it 2 sizes larger than I wear because of the measurements, and it fits perfectly. The fabric is unusual, but not horrible. It reminds me of some micrifiber sheets/pillowcases we have purchased at a discount store.

Funniest Wish experience:
Me and three friends all bought the exact same item (link sent through our GC, bought in the same size and colour) for a costume party (it was a cape lmao). When they arrived, they were all completely different materials and styles! Mine was the only fully black one with the correct arm holes. One was sheer, one had no arm holes, and one was cropped and the wrong colour 😂
That being said, I get a lot of cheap costume stuff from Wish, and my main advice is to always size up, including (and almost especially) with shoes!

It’s called “Wish” cause you WISH it was better

She has such a business voice it's weird to hear her talk about clothes and not files

imagine if we could see more behind the people who made the clothes in the first place and how that would affect your decision to buy

The wrinkles not coming out before the clothing is worn is due to the formaldehyde used to treat the clothing to supposedly protect it during storage in their warehouses and shipping to the U.S. My personal advice would be to try washing the items or have them dry-cleaned before you wear them the first time in order to get them looking right.
By the way, this chemical treatment is nothing new. It's done for clothes sold here in the states, too. (As a baby, my brother was allergic to the stuff and all his clothes had to be washed before they could be worn the first time.) If you buy a new bandana from any store, you will notice it's stiff and doesn't feel real nice against your skin. But, wash it just one time, and you get that nice, cotton feel and it's MUCH more pliable.
Since Wish's stuff gets shipped from China, more than likely all the packages are being stuffed as tightly as possible into boxes to go into cargo containers and shipped across the Pacific (that's why it takes so long to get the stuff...it's literally on a slow boat from China), and of course the more individual packages you can get into a box, the fewer boxes you have to ship and the less space you take up in the cargo container, which gets you cheaper rates on shipping. (I have experience shipping things to and from China in bulk.) It's only after the stuff gets to the company's sorting warehouse in the states that it gets sent by mail to the buyers. After a month being stuffed in a box, the wrinkles in the clothing are pretty much set. But like I said, dry clean or wash them to get the formaldehyde out and that shirt should look nicer.
Btw, I have personally found that 2 sizes up rather than just 1 gets me better results, but the biggest problem I find is that the torso on their dresses and tops tends to be too short; I've got a short torso myself by our American standards, and Wish waistlines on their tops and dresses still sit above my waist. And when it comes to their bathing suits, I can barely get the straps up on my shoulders, and you can forget about actually covering my chest area. These clothes are made more for the Asian market and their body types. Sadly. The pics are always so pretty, but I think you are right that they are ripping the pics from somewhere else.

My grandma is addicted to wish, and convinced herself to start flipping the jewelry she buys from it. So for the past 2 months, we get roughly 4 packages from wish everyday lol. I'd have to say the majority of the products are counterfeit and/or cheap as all hell, but there are definitely some hits. The whole situation is just hilarious to me

My husband ordered these awesome looking Sonic the Hedgehog action figures off either Wish or Amazon I can't remember and when they came they were tiny figures of random animals 🤣🤣🤣 not a hedgehog in the bunch.. it was so hilarious we couldn't even be mad.
If you're getting something that should cost like $20-$30 for like $5.. well you get what you pay for lol

My friend bought a container of holographic glitter on wish, but when it arrived, it was just small pieces of cut up plastic. Not even coloured plastic in hexagon shapes. Just clear plastic shards.
